A new £13.75 sharing dish brings together familiar tortilla chips, smoky sauces and plenty of melted cheese. There's a chicken upgrade, too, but the collaboration has a short shelf life.
There’s an ambitious amount happening to a fairly innocent tortilla chip.
Doritos Loaded at Las Iguanas takes the familiar crunch of Original Salted Doritos and turns it into a hot, sauce-covered sharing dish. It arrives at restaurants nationwide on 13 October, costs £13.75 and disappears from the menu after 9 November.
The limited-edition collaboration brings two familiar names together around a simple idea: take a recognisable snack, add the sort of toppings Las Iguanas is known for and give diners something substantial to share.
It’s a fairly extravagant fate for a tortilla chip, although the ingredients suggest nobody involved was particularly interested in restraint.
What’s Actually in Doritos Loaded?
The foundation is Doritos Original Salted tortilla chips, but the toppings take the dish well beyond a standard bowl of nachos.
Smoky tinga sauce provides one of the main flavour elements, alongside melted shredded mozzarella and Cholula Chipotle Cheese Sauce.
Fresh salsa, sliced green jalapeños and spring onions bring some contrast to the richer ingredients, while soured cream adds a cooling element.
The combination promises plenty of competing textures, from crisp tortilla chips to melted cheese and creamy sauces. The real test will be how well that recognisable Doritos crunch survives beneath so many toppings.
It’s also worth noting that the dish is designed specifically for sharing. This is very much a plate for the middle of the table, rather than a conventional packet of crisps alongside a meal.
How Much Does Doritos Loaded Cost?
The standard dish is priced at £13.75, with the option to add Tinga Chicken for another £2.
That brings the chicken version to £15.75.
For diners weighing up the price, the distinction is that this is a prepared restaurant sharing dish rather than a snack product. How good that value feels will depend partly on the portion and how many people are sharing it.
The combination is clearly positioned as an indulgent treat, with cheese, sauces and soured cream taking centre stage. No calorie or nutritional figures are specified, so there’s little basis for making more detailed dietary comparisons.
Why Las Iguanas and Doritos Make an Interesting Pairing
The collaboration is unusual enough to attract attention, but the food itself isn’t entirely unfamiliar territory for Las Iguanas.
The restaurant chain already draws heavily on Mexican and South American-inspired dishes, with tacos, fajitas, burgers and coconut curries among its wider menu offerings.
Tortilla chips, salsa, jalapeños and smoky sauces therefore sit comfortably alongside the restaurant’s existing flavour combinations.
Doritos brings something different: a widely recognised branded chip that changes the character of what might otherwise be another loaded tortilla dish.
There is an obvious commercial attraction in putting two recognisable food names together, but that doesn’t automatically guarantee a successful dish. The partnership ultimately needs to deliver something worth ordering beyond the novelty of seeing Doritos on a restaurant menu.
When Can You Try It?
Doritos Loaded will be available at Las Iguanas restaurants nationwide from 13 October to 9 November 2026, giving diners a four-week opportunity to try the collaboration.
The standard version costs £13.75, while the Tinga Chicken upgrade costs an additional £2.
There is no permanent menu addition being announced here. The short availability window is part of the proposition, and anyone interested will need to visit during those dates.
The branding may get the dish noticed. What matters once it reaches the table is rather simpler: whether all those toppings leave enough of the famous crunch to make it worthwhile.
