Priced at just £1.00, the launch of the “MY SANDWICH!!” comes as Deliveroo wants to make desk lunches more enjoyable for those heading back into the office, thanks to the triple-layered, delicious meal.
Office fridges have always been a hot-spot for lunch lifting, so to prevent this mouth-watering lunch-in-the-office sandwich from being stolen, Deliveroo has pre-printed a post-it on the compostable packaging that reads “MY SANDWICH!!” to help deter any colleagues from swiping the sandwich.
The sandwich is made with seeded granary bread, slow-cooked roasted turkey, homemade garlic and herb mayonnaise, sweet potato, cranberry sauce, crispy onions for added crunch, sage and onion stuffing, salad leaves and, of course, homemade gravy soaked into the middle bread layer of the sandwich.
For all the vegans out there, Deliveroo has cooked up an equally delicious plant-based alternative, packed with a delicious meat alternative, a perfectly whipped vegan mayo and a plant-based gravy-drenched middle layer.
Deliveroo spokesperson Aisha Jefferson, said, “Those heading back to the office will be able to get their hands on a sandwich that’s good enough to steal as we’ve recreated an office sandwich so famously delicious, colleagues will be reaching into the communal fridge to swipe it.
But fear not, thanks to a special post-it note on every item saying “MY SANDWICH!!”, work mates won’t go near it.
