The ASICS SKY ELITE FF 4 indoor shoes have been launched with a very specific mission: to help indoor court players jump with more power, land with more control, and move with the sort of confidence usually reserved for athletes who know exactly where their feet are going.

ASICS has unveiled the SKY ELITE™ FF 4 indoor shoe, a performance model designed for volleyball and indoor court athletes who rely on repeated take-offs, sharp movement and stable landings.

The shoe will be available from 1 June 2026 at asics.com and selected ASICS stores worldwide.

A New Indoor Shoe Built Around Jump Power

Indoor court sport is wonderfully unforgiving. One moment you are coiled and ready, the next you are airborne, landing, turning and being asked to do the whole thing again before your calves have finished negotiating with your brain.

That is the world the SKY ELITE™ FF 4 has been built for.

ASICS says the shoe has been engineered to deliver soft, responsive cushioning and a supportive fit, with the aim of helping players generate vertical jumping power while absorbing the impact that follows.

For volleyball players in particular, that combination is hardly decorative. Jumping is the job. Landing safely is the pension plan.

FF BLAST MAX Cushioning Adds Responsive Bounce

One of the headline technologies in the ASICS SKY ELITE FF 4 indoor shoes is FF BLAST™ MAX cushioning, which is integrated throughout the midsole.

The purpose is to create a soft but responsive underfoot feel, especially during jumps and landings. ASICS says the thick cushioning construction helps absorb shock while delivering energetic rebound to support repeated take-offs during indoor play.

In practical terms, the shoe is designed to give athletes cushioning without dulling the sense of movement. Nobody wants an indoor shoe that feels like a sofa with laces.

RISETRUSS Technology Supports Higher Elevation

The SKY ELITE™ FF 4 also features RISETRUSS™ technology, positioned to help increase support and generate greater jumping force.

ASICS has used a strategic gap and reinforced the midsole from the forefoot to the midfoot. The idea is that the technology compresses on landing, allowing the cushioning to perform more effectively while maintaining the stability needed for take-offs, pivots and quick changes of direction.

It is a technical mouthful, admittedly, but the sporting logic is simple: indoor athletes need power going up and reassurance coming down.

DYNALACING Technology Locks In The Forefoot

The shoe also introduces DYNALACING™ technology, designed to provide an adaptive fit and keep the foot locked in place during dynamic movement.

That forefoot wrap is intended to help the shoe move naturally with the foot, supporting players through forceful take-offs, quick transitions and high-impact landings.

For athletes who spend matches jumping, setting, blocking and reacting in tight spaces, foot security is not a luxury. It is the difference between feeling in control and feeling like your shoe has quietly made other plans.

Elite Volleyball Players Back The Design

Alessandro Michieletto, ASICS Athlete and Professional Volleyball Player said: “In my position, jumping power is everything, but a stable landing is just as important. The SKY ELITE™ FF 4 indoor shoe gives me a boost in my jump height, while providing a soft and stable landing. This helps me stay energised and stable throughout the match. I also love the energetic pink colour, it fills me with energy and confidence on the court.”

Joanna Wolosz, ASICS Athlete and Professional Volleyball Player, added: “As a setter, I am constantly jumping to direct the play, so a firm and comfortable fit is essential. The SKY ELITE™ FF 4 indoor shoe features an amazing forefoot wrap that keeps my foot locked in and stable during various moves. This amazing feel, combined with great cushioning, gives me confidence and allows me to maintain my best performance during intense games.”

Their comments point to the shoe’s central brief: repeatable elevation, a secure fit and landings that do not feel like an argument with gravity.

ASICS Says Confidence Was Central To The Shoe

Yating Lin Girtz, Global Product Manager at ASICS said: “The main focus for the design of the SKY ELITE™ FF 4 indoor shoe is to support indoor players to jump with more power and move with more confidence. By combining responsive cushioning, targeted midfoot support, and a firm forefoot wrap, the shoe helps athletes generate powerful elevation and smooth transitions between forceful take-offs and high-impact landings during play.

At ASICS, we believe that when you move your body, you move your mind. We are really looking forward to seeing players moving with confidence and energy on court, wearing the SKY ELITE ™ FF 4 indoor shoe, and feeling uplifted.”

Who The SKY ELITE FF 4 Is Aimed At

The ASICS SKY ELITE FF 4 indoor shoes are aimed squarely at indoor court players, especially volleyball athletes who need support through jumping, landing and fast directional movement.

The shoe’s technology package focuses on three areas: energetic cushioning, jump support and adaptive lockdown. That makes it relevant for players who spend matches moving explosively rather than simply cruising around the court pretending the warm-up was enough cardio for one evening.

While ASICS has not supplied a price, the launch positions the SKY ELITE™ FF 4 as a performance shoe for serious indoor play rather than a general gym trainer.

When The ASICS SKY ELITE FF 4 Launches

The SKY ELITE™ FF 4 indoor shoe will be available from 1 June 2026 through asics.com and selected ASICS stores worldwide.

For volleyball players and indoor court athletes, the launch adds another specialist option to a category where cushioning, grip, lockdown and stability are becoming every bit as important as raw speed.

After all, in indoor sport, flight is only half the story. The clever bit is landing well enough to do it all over again.
