Fourballs, Legends and Fundraising: West Ham’s Golf Day Is Calling

West Ham United Foundation

If you’ve ever fancied hitting a tee shot with the sort of company that makes you stand a little taller over the ball, West Ham United supporters (and anyone with a soft spot for a good cause and a decent three-course dinner) can mark the diary now. The West Ham United Foundation is bringing back its annual Golf Day & Dinner fundraiser—supported by Paragon—on Wednesday 6 May 2026, at Stock Brook Manor Golf Club.

And yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like: a full day on a handsome 18-hole course, sprinkled with challenges, laughs, and the kind of footballing nostalgia that can make a grown Hammer misty-eyed over the halfway hut.

A day built for golfers, supporters—and anyone who likes a proper fundraiser

West Ham United Golf Day

The format is simple: breakfast first, then off you go to tackle the course. Along the way, there’ll be on-course challenges designed to keep things lively, whether you’re striping it like you’ve got a Tour card in your back pocket or merely hoping the trees show some mercy.

After the golf, everyone regroups for an evening programme that’s equal parts celebration and charitable mischief: a three-course dinner, interactive table games, an auction with the usual “I didn’t mean to bid that high” moments, and a prize presentation to crown the day’s sharpest performers (and, quietly, the day’s most creative scorecard authors).

West Ham legends on the tee sheet? That’s the hook

The magic ingredient—beyond the cause—is the guest list on the fairways. The Golf Day has a strong tradition of West Ham United legends turning up to support the Foundation, with past attendees including Jimmy Walker, James Collins, Matt Jarvis, Stuart Slater, Tony Gale, Marlon Harewood, Brian Dear, and more besides.

Their presence gives guests the rare chance to share stories, swap swings, and enjoy the kind of day where the banter travels faster than the buggies.

Why Stock Brook Manor keeps getting the call

The Foundation is returning once again to Stock Brook Manor—no small endorsement in a world where venues come and go quicker than your ball can disappear into a greenside bunker. It’s been “extremely well received in previous years,” which, in charity-event language, means: the setting works, the day runs smoothly, and people leave already asking about next year.

Reflecting on the event in 2025, Club Ambassador Marlon Harewood said: “Days like these are fantastic and I can’t speak highly enough of the people at the Foundation. They go above and beyond to help people, and I only think things have got better with the introduction of The Foundry.”

Where the money goes—and why it matters

West Ham United Foundation

This isn’t golf for golf’s sake. All funds raised go directly to the West Ham United Foundation’s mission to inspire better futures across East London and Essex, delivered through more than 35 community programmes tackling issues including poverty, anti-social behaviour and employability.

And the impact is already tangible. To date, the annual Golf Day & Dinner has generated over £200,000, supporting individuals and communities across East London, Essex and the Foundation’s wider international reach.

Guests will also be able to sign up for the Foundation’s newsletter to stay informed on how their support continues to create positive change.
