The Three Sporting Events Worth Attending In 2023

Rugby World Cup, grand national, fifa womens world cup

All travel adventures can be fun, but there’s an extra level of excitement when you’re attending a huge event. If you’re a sports fan, then perhaps this could be the year when you finally make good on your old-age promise to attend a major sporting event.

You certainly won’t be short of options. Check out just three of the major upcoming sporting tournaments and festivals that it’s very much worth grabbing a ticket for.

FIFA Women’s World Cup

The men’s World Cup was one of the best ever, and given the increasing popularity of women’s football, we can be fairly confident that the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be the best on record, too.

The ninth Women’s World Cup will be bigger than ever, with 32 countries now competing for glory rather than the usual 24.

The tournament will take place in July and August in Australia and New Zealand, so you’ll have to travel a fair way to attend. But given the quality that will be on display, we’re sure it’ll be worth the effort.

The Grand National

Looking for a sporting event that combines all-out on-field action and a touch of social sophistication? Then the Grand National has you covered.

This isn’t only one of the most important horse racing fixtures 2023 in the UK; it’s one of the biggest in the world, with more than 150,000 fans attending the festival over its three days.

Grab your ticket, put on your best glad rags, and prepare yourself for a day of fun and excitement at the historic Aintree Racecourse.

The Rugby World Cup

Rugby is celebrating its two-hundredth birthday this year, and we could think of no better celebration than attending the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

Taking place in France from September 8 through to the final on October 28, the tournament will see twenty nations do battle in their quest for glory.

Current champions South Africa will have their eyes on the prize once more, but if they’re going to lift the Webb Ellis Cup, they’ll need to overcome Ireland, France, and New Zealand, all of which have been showing great form of late.

Regardless of your team’s performance, you can be sure of an awesome atmosphere during the tournament, especially in Paris.
