Super League Triathlon Speeds Into London, 27 August 2023

Super League Triathlon

The world’s fastest triathlon arrives on the streets of London on Sunday 27 August with Olympic gold medalists competing in an action-filled, breathtaking afternoon of world-class sport.

Rally your friends and family, Super League Triathlon is a free-to-attend, trackside must-watch in the Capital this summer.

Returning to West India Quay for its fifth anniversary, Super League London 2023 awaits with a star-studded line up of the world’s best triathletes.

Britain’s triple Olympic medalist Jonny Brownlee will be in action alongside London’s hometown hero, Olympic and Commonwealth Games gold medalist, Alex Yee.

Likened to Formula One racing, fans can watch all the action within touching distance of the sporting stars as they race toe-to-toe around the tight and technical stadium-like course. It’s not for the faint hearted; this full-speed, thrilling race promises non-stop energy and excitement with unpredictable events at every turn.

London’s Enduro format sees the finest international athletes take on three back-to-back rounds of non-stop swim-bike-run.

A 300m swim, 4km bike and 1.6km run, all at bustling West India Quay, with its trackside bars and restaurants and easy access via three major London tube lines and public transport. The professional racing starts at 2pm, with the elite women taking to the water first, followed by the elite men.

With both the male and female races predicted to clock in under 60 minutes, the athletes don’t have long to execute their strategies while competing against the absolute best in the world.

And with one of the biggest prize purses in the sport ($1.24 million), every second counts. Among the stars flying the flag for Britain are Beth Potter and Sophie Coldwell. The athletes also compete for Teams, with a British-led line-up, the RTP Sharks, meaning there will be plenty to cheer for the home crowds.

Super League London is free to spectate, making it a fun and affordable day out for sports fans, families, and Londoners.

Professional racing starts in the heart of the UK’s global financial district at 2pm, with the elite women taking to the water first, followed by the elite men. Follow every second of the action with live on the ground MCs and big screens.

Once the curtain falls on London, the Championship Series continues to Toulouse, Malibu and NEOM to crown the men’s and women’s Series Champions 2023.
