On Running is lacing up for one of the most anticipated nights in the UK running calendar. The Swiss performance brand has teamed up with Community Track Club (CTC) to bring Open Lanes London to the Lee Valley Athletics Centre on Saturday, 15th November 2025 — a bold celebration of running, rhythm, and real community spirit.
This isn’t your standard track meet. Open Lanes is designed to throw open the doors of the sport and remind everyone why we fell in love with running in the first place. It’s inclusive, high-energy, and unapologetically joyful — a party for the people who see running as more than a workout.
“Designed to make the track accessible for everyone, Open Lanes brings together two and a half years of learnings from On and CTC’s partnership into one high-energy evening of running, music, food, and culture,” the organisers said.

From 4 pm, Londoners can take over the indoor 200m track for a night that blurs the line between competition and celebration. Whether you’re there to chase a personal best or just soak up the atmosphere, it promises to be a night where everyone belongs.
The Hosts: Phily Bowden, Lloyd Kempson & the CTC Crew
On Running ambassador Phily Bowden and Lloyd Kempson, the ever-energetic voice of London’s running scene, will co-host alongside the Community Track Club crew. Their infectious energy and humour are set to turn the evening into something far more than a race night — a track-side festival that’s true to the inclusive spirit of modern running culture.
The Line-Up: Where Speed Meets Community

The events are crafted to appeal to every level — from seasoned runners to first-timers.
- CTC Session with Laura Luengo (ESP)
Kick things off with a Kenyan-style training session led by On Running elite athlete Laura Luengo, Spain’s national record-holder and a 2:22 marathoner. A rare chance to train with one of Europe’s finest. - Rapid 2K
Ten laps. Full throttle. This 2,000m battle is as much about grit as it is glory. Expect pounding music, lights, and a crowd that won’t stop shouting. - The 800
Four laps, one winner. The men’s, women’s, and mixed relays (two women, two men) promise a flurry of speed and camaraderie. - The Mile
The grand finale. Eight laps of pure adrenaline featuring men’s and women’s heats — with the final women’s race set as a tribute to London’s unstoppable female running community. There’s even a mystery twist at the start line — but you’ll need to be there to find out.
Beyond the Track: Music, Food, and Unexpected Moments

Running aside, Open Lanes is as much about the atmosphere as the athletics. Attendees can expect live music, street-food stalls, free tattoos, and countless ways to connect with fellow runners. It’s a reminder that On Running and CTC aren’t just about performance — they’re about people.
The event is free to attend, but spaces are limited. Runners and spectators can sign up now to secure their spot and get full event details closer to the day via the official site.

Final Lap
With Open Lanes London, On Running and Community Track Club aren’t just celebrating the sport — they’re redefining what it means to be part of the running community. It’s not about pace, podiums, or prestige. It’s about showing up, lacing up, and being part of something electric.
