Rain, sleet, snow, or that sideways British hail that feels like it’s plotting against you — Sweaty Betty is daring women to step outside anyway. The brand’s new Weather, Whatever Outerwear collection has landed, designed for those who won’t let the forecast dictate their day.
This is not your grandmother’s raincoat. Built for women who jog through storms, march their dogs in a gale, or make that frosty morning walk to Pilates look like a runway strut, the collection is all performance, confidence, and unapologetic style.
“Weather, Whatever. We don’t melt in the rain — we move. So, we built a collection that works just as hard as we do. Our iconic Outerwear collection includes six styles made to perform — but also made for style, confidence, and …Whatever,” says Melissa Mullen, Sweaty Betty Brand President.
The Line-Up: From Downpours to Snow Squalls
The drop is rolling out in waves, each one tailored to a different kind of meteorological misery.
Motion (1st September)
The Motion Technical Longline Parka (£220) arrives in waterproof leopard print — the kind of coat that laughs at umbrellas. Its sibling, the Motion Waterproof Cropped Parka (£190), brings storm flaps and a detachable hood to keep the elements in their place.
Nimbus (15th September)
Back by overwhelming demand, the cult-favourite Nimbus returns with a waterproof upgrade. From the sleek Gilet, Mid (£335) to the Longline Waterproof Puffer (£375), this range is ready for monsoons and football pitches alike. Come December, the Nimbus will roar back again in a limited-edition Brown Wild Leopard Print.
Thinsulate (6th October)
When warmth without bulk is non-negotiable, the Thinsulate Lightweight Padded Gilet (£195) and Parka (£335) step up. With 3M’s Thinsulate™ tech, adjustable drawcords, and deep pockets, they’re basically armour against winter.
On The Move (20th October)
A relaxed, street-smart vibe defines this line. The Parka (£265), Jacket (£145), and Gilet (£115) are quilted, dropped at the shoulder, and built for the woman who goes straight from 7 a.m. class to 11 a.m. brunch.
Nimbus Cloud (3rd November)
A fortress against freezing mornings, the Longline Puffer (£355), Short Puffer (£295), and Gilet (£195) feature funnel necks and storm-proof finishes — insulation meets intimidation.
Navigate (2nd December)
Finally, the Sherpa Zip Up (£175) and Sherpa Coat (£295) deliver the indoor cosiness of your sofa, without the guilt of never leaving the house.
Performance Meets Personality
More than just weatherproofing, Sweaty Betty has injected flair into the functional. Oversized silhouettes move with you, fabrics resist sudden downpours, and design flourishes — from animal print to sherpa lining — ensure you look like you chose to face the storm, not that you lost a bet with it.
The Weather, Whatever Outerwear collection launches in stages from September through December, with prices starting at £190. Shoppers can find it in Sweaty Betty stores or online at www.sweatybetty.com.
Because the weather may have the final say on the sky — but not on your style.
