WITB: Simon Forsström Makes It Nine For Paradym On The DP World Tour

Simon Forsström

Callaway’s Paradym Driver claimed an incredible ninth victory on the DP World Tour this season when Swedish Staffer Simon Forsström won the Soudal Open in Belgium.

Using a full bag of Callaway and Odyssey clubs, the 34-year-old shot a closing 69 at Rinkven International Golf Club near Antwerp to finish on -17 to win by one, claiming his maiden DP World Tour title in the process.

Paradym continues to dominate professional Tours around the globe and has now been in the winner’s circle an amazing 19 times, including four victories (one of them a Major) for Callaway Staffer and current World #1 Jon Rahm.

Forsström had been knocking on the door of a maiden win since securing his Tour card at the Final Stage of Qualifying School in November of last year. Prior to the Soudal Open, he had secured three Top 10 finishes over the last five months.

“I’m very happy, I don’t have any words! I’m glad I made it. I won on the Challenge Tour in Belgium, so I think Belgium is good for me!” said a jubilant Simon.

The Swede’s Paradym Triple Diamond 10.5° Driver is a compact, 450cc shape designed for better players who want to work the ball. It’s the lowest spinning and lowest launching of three Paradym models, with a neutral ball flight.

Among Simon’s winning bag were a trio of Callaway JAWS Raw Wedges and an Odyssey White Hot Versa Twelve Putter which he used to hole a host of big putts coming down the stretch.

The White Hot Versa Twelve is a crowned winged face-balanced mallet suitable for strokes with minimal face rotation and arc. Our black and white high contrast Versa alignment system has dominated on Tours all over the world.

Neil Howie, President and Managing Director of Callaway EMEA, commented: “The Tour introduction of Paradym is already one of the most successful Driver launches in our company’s history.

Staff Professionals immediately recognised a significant shift in performance when they switched to the new club, and victories have been coming around the world ever since. It’s truly phenomenal.”
