If you’re in London on Sunday 13 July and notice 17,000 people pounding past Big Ben like they’ve left the oven on, don’t worry—you haven’t stumbled into a particularly stylish stampede. It’s the 2025 Saucony London 10k, and it’s back, brasher, and faster than ever.
Now in full stride as one of the UK’s marquee summer races, the Saucony London 10k offers a rare chance to leg it down Regent Street without getting flattened by a double-decker.
The closed-road course winds its way past some of the capital’s greatest hits—Trafalgar Square, the London Eye, the Thames, and even a brief flirtation with Downing Street (no time to knock, mind you).
When and Where to Be
Set your alarms and your intentions early. The starting gun fires at 09:30 sharp on Sunday 13 July, from 101 Piccadilly, right beside Green Park. The finish line? None other than Whitehall—number 70, to be precise.
Bag drop opens at 07:45 at Waterloo Place (SW1Y 5ER), but the organisers are gently hinting you might consider turning up race-ready—less faff, fewer queues, more time to soak in the pre-race nerves.
Runners should cross the line from 10:00 onwards, and if you’re still out there after 12:15, you’ve either stopped for selfies or are reconsidering your life choices. Either way, that’s the official cutoff time.
Bibs, Bands, and the Best Spectator Sport in Town
If you’ve opted to collect your bib, swing by Sweaty Betty Carnaby Street between 8-12 July. Opening times are 12:00–19:00 (except for the 12th, which runs 10:00–18:00). Everyone else? Check your postbox.
The course itself is a greatest hits compilation of central London—Piccadilly Circus, the Strand, the Embankment—peppered with water stations (at 6.25km and 8.75km), aid stations, and marshals in hi-vis pink, just in case you start hallucinating from all the excitement.
And the support? Oh, it’s loud. Think live bands, roving DJs, and the West End Musical Choir belting out show tunes just when your legs start plotting mutiny. DJ Chrystilize and the crew at Saucony’s cheer points—particularly the Your Friendly Runners gang at Embankment—will be there with a DJ truck, a speed camera, and more vibes than a Glastonbury afterparty.
How to Watch or Cheer
Spectators, this is your Wimbledon. The Saucony London 10k website will host a live tracking link so you can follow your favourite runner’s every stride. Each kilometre is clearly marked, making it easy to pick your spot and deliver that much-needed cheer (or guilt-trip).
Don’t be shy—clap, whoop, wave a banner, and if in doubt, pretend you’re cheering for everyone. It’s good karma.
Getting There (and What to Avoid)
Your chariot awaits—just make sure it’s a Tube. Stations like Charing Cross, Embankment, Victoria, St James’ Park, and Westminster are all within walking distance of the action.
As for driving or cycling? Don’t. Road closures kick in from 5:00am, and all Santander Cycles along the route will be suspended for the day. Look out for event volunteers and signs if you’re hoofing it from the station.
Missed Out?
Couldn’t nab a bib this year? Don’t despair—entries for the 2026 Saucony London 10k open on Tuesday 14 July. Head to thelondon10k.com and register your interest before your FOMO hits a full sprint.
Whether you’re running, cheering, or just popping by for the atmosphere, the Saucony London 10k promises more than just personal bests—it’s a full-blown celebration of city, sweat and human spirit. See you at the start line. Or the finish. Or possibly the pub afterwards.
