ROUVY Brings the IRONMAN World Championship Nice Course to Your Living Room

ROUVY - Ironman Nice course - finish

ROUVY has just dropped a game-changer: the full IRONMAN World Championship course in Nice is now live on the ROUVY app. That means triathletes and Sunday cyclists alike can grind through the same 180km loop of pain and postcard views, all without leaving the turbo trainer in the spare room.

This isn’t just another generic virtual ride. Earlier this year, ROUVY signed a long-term partnership with IRONMAN, promising athletes a chance to train on the very roads they’ll race. Now they’ve delivered. The one-loop route packs 2,500 metres of elevation gain, gradients spiking up to 20%, and a scenic swing through the Parc Naturel des Pré-Alpes d’Azur before rolling back into the glamour of Nice on the French Riviera.

Thanks to ROUVY’s tech wizards and on-site crew, the course was captured during this year’s IRONMAN France and reproduced in forensic detail. We’re talking timing mats, aid stations, penalty zones—the whole circus recreated in pixels.

For anyone who finds 180km about 150km too far, there’s also a shorter option that keeps the best bit: the full climb of the iconic Col de Vence, starting right from the Promenade des Anglais.

And because no virtual sufferfest is complete without a sadistic workout, ROUVY has also launched the Sam Long “Climbing” Threshold Session. The U.S. triathlete designed this one-hour sweat-fest to sharpen both body and mind for the brutal ups and downs of Nice.

“The Nice course is as beautiful as it is tough,” says Sam Long, ROUVY athlete. “For me, being able to train on it virtually with ROUVY has been a game-changer, helping me fine-tune my preparations for race day. But it’s also a superb route not only for triathletes racing in Nice but for anyone who loves a challenging, scenic ride. It’s the ultimate recce tool and it has got me even more hyped for the World Championships.”
