If you thought fitness events were all Lycra, sweatbands and tepid bottles of water, the Ministry of Sound Games is here to prove you very, very wrong. Returning to the legendary South London superclub on October 11, this beast of a competition swaps light shows and cocktails for watt bikes, ski ergs and enough burpees to make even the fittest soul weep into their protein shake.
This isn’t your average “circuit class.” The venue is transformed into a multi-zone, music-fuelled battleground where 12-person teams sweat it out for a whopping £36,000 prize and bragging rights until 2026, when organisers plan to turn the whole thing into a regular series.
Oh, and in true Ministry fashion, there’s a secret headline act waiting in the wings. Last year’s afterparty featured Jungle Cakes, Ed Solo and Deekline—so don’t expect some bloke with a Spotify playlist.
“What sets Ministry of Sound Games apart is that it combines the energy of a club with a structured fitness experience,” says Caitlin McAllister, Managing Director at Ministry of Sound. “Teams are challenged in a way that’s engaging, social, and immersive, with a focus on participation as much as performance.”
Sweat, Sound and Strategy
Nike Global Master Trainer Courtney Fearon is the architect of this sweat-soaked playground, and he’s made sure no one’s left behind. Whether you’re a gym rat or someone who thinks resistance bands are a boy band reunion, the format works across all levels.
“The Games are about energy, not ego,” Fearon explains. “It’s the same sweat and endorphins as a club night, the energy never stops.”
Here’s how the chaos unfolds:
- Zone 1 (103): Check in, meet your coach, and warm up—like speed-dating, but with squats.
- Zone 2 (Baby Box): Six wattbikes, eight minutes, and unlimited switches. Think Tour de France on steroids, all to a drum & bass soundtrack.
- Zone 3 (The Loft): Circuit relays with RAM equipment, aerobic endurance, and more sideline shouting than a Sunday League football match.
- Zone 4 (The Box): Ski ergs, rowers, bear crawls and burpees while DJs drop dance and rap. This is where souls are broken and friendships tested.
- Zone 5 (The Courtyard): The finish line morphs into the afterparty—cocktails, DJs, and enough calories to undo all your hard work.
More Than Muscle

It’s not just about sweat. Returning partners like Ruuby (on-site blowdries and braiding, because why not?) and Nocco (fueling the crowd with BCAAs) round out the full-throttle wellness vibe. It’s a 360-degree experience: part competition, part party, part endurance test, and all wrapped up in Ministry’s iconic club atmosphere.
And the best bit? It’s not just for athletes. The Ministry of Sound Games welcomes everyone—from seasoned fitness junkies to fun-focused first-timers who just want to burn some calories before the cocktails start flowing.
