The Cancer Research UK London Winter Run is back, and the race to the start line begins long before the gun fires. Britain’s biggest 10K has announced that the final 7,000 public places will go on sale on Tuesday, 12th November, giving runners one last chance to join the capital’s iconic winter event on Sunday, 15th February 2026.
This year’s entry demand has been nothing short of remarkable. The first 19,000 spots disappeared earlier in the year, setting up another likely sell-out for one of the most uplifting fixtures in the running calendar.
Runners of every level, from beginners to seasoned competitors, will take on a closed-road route through central London, passing Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament, and the National Gallery — the landmark that inspired this year’s medal design. The finisher’s medal, framed like a miniature artwork, is a tribute to both the city’s culture and the spirit of the event itself.
“The demand for the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run reflects its status as the pinnacle of winter running, offering an unparalleled atmosphere for all abilities, from first-timers to seasoned runners,” said Andrew Smith, CEO, ASO UK.
“The places released on Tuesday, 12th November, are a fantastic opportunity to join the experience. We encourage everyone who wants to be part of the excitement to register for Advanced Access to the remaining places to avoid missing out.”
More Than a Race — It’s an Experience
What sets the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run apart isn’t just its route, but its atmosphere. The course is dotted with themed entertainment, from the raucous Snow Blast-Off to the ever-popular Penguin Party, and of course, the legendary Polar Bears waiting at the finish line.
Behind the fun is a serious mission: raising vital funds for Cancer Research UK. Each runner helps fuel research that saves lives, making every step — and every snowflake — matter that little bit more.
With the final places now up for grabs, those hoping to take part in 2026 would be wise not to wait. It’s more than a run — it’s a chance to be part of something special, set against the backdrop of one of the world’s great cities.
