The Mexican and South American restaurant is turning the whole of February 2026 into a month-long celebration of love, dating and frankly irresponsible amounts of fun, built around two limited-edition stars of the bar: the Red Flag and Green Flag cocktails.
From 1–28 February 2026, these tongue-in-cheek drinks will be doing what most dates don’t: turning modern romance’s biggest warning signs into something you’ll actually want to swallow. Inspired by the dating terms we all pretend not to know, a green flag is the keeper, a red flag is the walking disaster… the one you still text back anyway.
Swipe right for a free drink
In classic Las Iguanas fashion, they’ve taken the chaos of the apps and turned it into an excuse for free booze. There are two ways to bag a complimentary cocktail across the month.
First up, the Las Iguanas app is getting a full dating-show makeover. The brand is transforming the platform into a cocktail dating experience where guests can swipe left and right to find their perfect match. Pair up with your drink of destiny and Las Iguanas will load a free cocktail of your choice straight onto the app. No awkward small talk, no ghosting – just a free drink for a bit of thumbs-up action.
In the restaurants, things get even more on-the-nose with National Red Flag Day on Thursday 19 February 2026. Wander in waving an active dating app profile and you’ll be rewarded with a free Red Flag cocktail. Rock up with a wedding ring, or proof you don’t use dating apps, and suddenly you’re everyone’s relationship role model – you’ll be handed a free Green Flag cocktail instead.
Meet the Green Flag: the one you should take home
On paper, the Green Flag cocktail (£10.95) is everything your mum told you to look for. It’s crisp, fresh and effortlessly balanced. Olmeca Blanco Tequila is shaken with Midori, grapefruit, apple and lime for bright citrus and juicy fruit notes. Smooth, refreshing and undeniably a green flag.
This is the drink that texts you back, remembers your birthday and actually reads the menu before the server appears. It’s flirting without the drama – a proper keeper in a coupe glass.
Meet the Red Flag: the one you know is trouble
Then there’s the Red Flag cocktail (£10.95), the liquid equivalent of that person your friends stage interventions about. The Red Flag cocktail is sweet, bold and a little bit dangerous. Havana Cuban Spiced Rum meets strawberry purée and strawberry liqueur, mixed with lime and grenadine. You know it’s a red flag… but you’re ordering it anyway.
It’s all fireworks and no forward planning – sugary, flirty and absolutely not good for your long-term decision-making. Non-alcoholic versions of both cocktails are available, so even the sensible souls and designated drivers can play the dating game without waking up to regret.
Love, disasters and Galentine’s: all welcome
Whether you’re celebrating true love, laughing at dating disasters or enjoying Galentine’s with friends, Las Iguanas is the ultimate place to toast February with bold flavours and vibrant energy.
