If you’ve been daydreaming about Corfu—the sort where time slows, the sea sparkles, and your phone starts feeling like an unwanted relative—there’s a new reason to clear the calendar. Conrad Corfu is slated to open Q2 2026 on the island’s southern coast, pitching itself as the ultimate Ionian escape: part grown-up sanctuary, part design gallery, part “how is this real life?” beachfront reverie.
The headline numbers are the kind hotel brochures love and accountants fear: 136 rooms, suites and villas, a 200-metre beachfront, plus indoor and outdoor heated pools. Add in a signature Aqua Piazza lagoon, landscaped gardens, three restaurants, two bars, a full-service wellness centre, a kids club, and an open-air cinema, and you’ve got the makings of a resort that intends to keep you on-property—happily—until your return flight starts sending passive-aggressive notifications. The resort will be managed by Numo Hotels & Resorts.
A coastal masterplan built around calm (and a rather handsome lagoon)

Conrad Corfu’s pitch is privacy, wellness, and discovery—delivered through curated experiences rather than the usual “here’s a towel, good luck” approach. The masterplan preserves open sightlines from arrival to the sea, with the Aqua Piazza lagoon acting as the social hinge between the architecture and the shoreline—more gathering place than cannonball arena.
And while Corfu’s UNESCO-listed Old Town is about an hour’s drive away, the resort’s setting leans into the island’s southern rhythm: small harbours, olive groves, and that quietly confident pace that makes you wonder why you ever ate lunch at your desk. Nearby, the Achilleion Palace brings Belle Époque drama—neoclassical terraces, statue-lined gardens, and sweeping Ionian views—perfect for anyone who enjoys their history with a side of “wow”.
Rooms start at 35 m², with private pools and lagoon access in the mix
Accommodation begins at a generous 35 m², with many categories offering private heated pools, jacuzzis, or access to the Aqua Piazza. The programming aims to pull guests into the local fabric—guided walks, culinary workshops, and open-air cinema among the highlights—positioning Conrad Corfu as both a retreat and a connector to Corfu’s culture.
The asset belongs to the Troulis family, while Numo Hotels extends its design-led track record in Greece (including Crete and Mykonos) to the Ionian.
Crucially, the collaboration story is being woven into the resort’s identity—right down to the people shaping its look, feel, and flavour.
“With Conrad Corfu, we are thrilled to be collaborating once again with Hilton, while we continue our approach of building strong concepts around each place and its people,” says Spyros Kouris, Managing Director & Partner, Numo Hotels & Resorts. “Following Crete and Mykonos, Corfu becomes our next chapter – an alliance of Greek creatives and partners to shape a unique resort that honours its majestic setting.”
Design that salutes Corfu’s past, then walks confidently into the future

The existing 1986 building—a bold U-plan with arcaded façades—has been reworked to preserve its cadence of arches while opening the ground plane to the shoreline. The arrival sequence sets the tone: a limestone-floored hall doubling as a contemporary Greek art gallery, followed by a glass-roofed atrium designed to echo Corfu’s open squares. From there, a Palladiana-style marble walkway leads down a colonnade towards the water—because if you’re going to make an entrance, you may as well commit.
Architecture and exteriors are by Cube Concept (Lead Architects Aria Lironi and Charis Markodimitrakis; Managing Director Nikos Gryllos). Interiors are by Hotel IM (Ioanna Mitropoulou) with Place in Space Architects (Marianthi Tsomlektsi and Simos Antoniadis).
At the centre sits the Aqua Piazza—reflective lagoon first, social stage second. Beyond it: an outdoor heated pool, a heated indoor pool, long beach frontage, and speciality restaurants and bars.
Inside the rooms, suites, and villas, expect a grounded palette of terracotta, stone, and layered greens, lifted by bespoke travertine screens above minibars and statement lighting that’s scaled to feel intimate rather than showroom-loud. The headliner is the flagship four-bedroom, 280m² villa, built for maximum privacy, with a custom-designed outdoor terrace.
Restaurants, bars, and a Greek creative “supergroup” in the kitchen and beyond
Dining continues the material story: the main restaurant references Thebes-yellow and white marble with warm timber and planting; the central bar pairs a stone floor with a fluted tiled counter and travertine top, while woven tapestries nod to 1960s and 1970s patterns.
The signature fine-dining restaurant will feature a menu by Michelin-starred chef Alexandros (Alex) Tsiotinis (CTC, Athens), while the wider mix includes:
- an all-day restaurant influenced by Corfiot tradition
- a restaurant by the sea
- two bars: a beachfront cocktail bar and an indoor lounge
- a Greek and Mediterranean wine list designed to do very little wrong
Elsewhere, the property-wide art programme, “Anasynthesis”, curated by Nikos Paleologos / Saint of Athens, is built on commissioned works by leading Greek artists including Kostis Velonis, H.O.P.E., Gerasimos Hatzis, Fikos, Filippos Theodorides, Magneto, Paolo Incarnato, Natalia Manta, and others—bringing Corfu’s layered histories into conversation with contemporary work. Fashion and spatial design even reach the flagship villa’s terrace and pool textiles through a collaboration with designer Sophie Deloudi.
Wellness, spa rituals, and a kids club that sounds better than my adult life
The spa leans into bathhouse geometry—travertine, handmade zellige, linen drapery—and comes with a vitality pool, infrared sauna, snow shower, plus ONAR and Swissline skin-wellness treatments. Wellness programming includes yoga, Pilates, and TRX indoors and out, alongside a fully equipped gym. Spa rituals draw inspiration from local botanicals, which is marketing-speak for “you’ll smell fantastic and sleep like a saint.”
Families aren’t an afterthought, either. The kids club—designed by Cube Concept and operated with Worldwide Kids—is conceived as a treehouse-like micro-village among olive trees and eucalyptus, with interiors using a colour framework aligned to age groups. Translation: thoughtful, not tacky.
Why Conrad Corfu will matter on the island
Corfu has always had range—cosmopolitan Old Town, tucked-away coves, grand old palaces, and villages where time moves politely. Conrad Corfu is betting that modern luxury can live alongside that character without steamrolling it: a concept-led resort anchored by Greek creatives, deliberate design, and programming that nudges guests beyond the sunlounger.
If it lands as intended, this won’t just be another “nice hotel in Greece.” It’ll be a new southern Corfu landmark—equal parts hideaway, cultural canvas, and Ionian reset button.
