If you’ve been staring at your Christmas food shop like it’s a mortgage application, Aldi has arrived with a grin and a price slash. The supermarket says its Aldi Christmas dinner offering is now cheaper again, promising a full festive feast for six for as little as £1.55 per person, because—apparently—joy to the world is best served with gravy and a receipt that doesn’t require counselling.
Fresh off winning ‘Retailer of the Year’ for the third consecutive year and ‘Christmas Retailer of the Year’ by Quality Food Awards for the sixth, Aldi is leaning into the season with a headline number: all the Christmas dinner essentials at just £9.31.
What you actually get for £9.31
Aldi’s pitch is simple: cover the big-ticket centrepiece, stack the sides, then finish it off like a proper Sunday roast with a festive licence.
At the heart of this Aldi Christmas dinner is the British Small Whole Fresh Turkey (£7.35, 3kg/£2.45 per kg), backed up by the supporting cast: Quixo Sage & Onion Stuffing Mix (39p, 170g) and Everyday Essentials Yorkshire Puddings (40p, 15 pack)—because nothing says “Christmas tradition” like pretending Yorkshire puddings have always been part of the nativity story.
Then come the veg basics—Nature’s Pick White Potatoes (2kg), Brussels Sprouts (500g), Carrots (1kg) and Parsnips (500g) for just 5p—which is either seasonal generosity or the closest thing we’ll get to time travel back to 1997.
And, of course, the finishing touch: a generous pour of rich, velvety Quixo Gravy (97p, 300g) to bring the whole operation together and paper over any family politics at the table.

Aldi claims the UK’s cheapest fresh turkeys this Christmas
Beyond the under-a-tenner fanfare, Aldi is also making a bigger statement: it says it is proudly offering the UK’s cheapest fresh turkeys this Christmas, dropping the price of its British Small Whole Fresh Turkey to just £2.45 per kg—and explicitly claiming it is beating “any other supermarket including Tesco and Lidl.”
That matters because turkey is the bit that usually turns a “budget Christmas” into “just pop it on the credit card.” If the centrepiece stays sensible, everything else has a fighting chance.
