Contenders MMA are hosting the very first MMA Live Show with an audience as an outdoor ‘drive-in’ event on Friday 14th August 2020 at Taverham Hall near Norwich, Norfolk, UK.

With a full fight card lined up for the night with MMA, Kickboxing and Boxing.

With two of the UK’s most accomplished strikers, Dean Pattinson and Charlie O’Neill headlining, the show will take place in an elevated cage outdoors.

Whether you’re into Mixed Martial Arts, Kickboxing, Boxing or not; Contenders events have always been renowned for being a ‘great night out’ and this show is no different, with refreshments delivered to your vehicle, live audio broadcast via your FM radio and a 65 metre2 LED screen to catch all the action.

To ensure safety and wellbeing, all fighters, officials and support staff will be checked for COVID-19 before the events, and anyone who returns a positive test is removed from the cards and will not be permitted within the ‘safe-zone’.

All spectators will be parked in designated spots, and whilst they guests are permitted to leave their vehicles they must maintain social distancing in accordance with government regulations, and will not be permitted near the safe-zone.

Nik Aspden, Director of Contenders commented: “We want to do things that have never been done before. By hosting self-service shows, wrestlers can have their fans safe and controlled at our events, and we can give them the opportunity to be part of the story.

Participants need to be able to perform the sport they love, and fans deserve to get out of their homes instead of watching television, having been limited to so many hours in their homes.

Fans can get food and drink in their cars, watch the action on a giant screen, and listen to the live commentary.

It will be a unique experience and we are very excited to make MMA and martial arts accessible to a live audience.

We had to planned our big launch in Florida earlier this year; however it was postponed due to the coronavirus situation and of course, safety has to come first and there are more important things in the world.

We are currently working with the team to secure a new launch date later this year, stay tuned for updates.”

With the first-ever live audience event happening in just a couple of weeks, showcasing talent from Norfolk and across the country, Contenders MMA are making lots of noise within the sporting world. With a mix of professional and amateur MMA, K1, kickboxing and caged boxing on Monday 17th August, tickets are limited and are available from £30 Per Person based on a vehicle with 4 occupants.
