The Bannatyne Group, which operates 72 health clubs across the UK, is ensuring that its members can still access many of their favourite Les Mills classes despite the enforced closure of its sites.
Members can access Les Mills On Demand classes free until the end of May through the Bannatyne app including the popular BODYPUMP, BODYCOMBAT, BODYBALANCE and hundreds of other options to suit all levels of fitness.
Bannatyne’s own fitness professionals have also recorded home workouts to ensure members can still follow a training and fitness regime, vital for both physical and mental health during the ‘lockdown’ period.
The Group has also launched its own hashtag #Imissbannatynebecause and is encouraging members and staff to join the supportive community by uploading their own workouts to the Bannatyne social media channels and sharing messages about why they are missing their local health club.
Duncan Bannatyne said: “We’ve never seen times like this before and it’s important that everyone pulls together, stays home if humanely possible and keeps as healthy as possible, in body and mind.
“Our partners at Les Mills have worked with us to ensure that members can access their favourite classes and workouts on demand, online for free. From the many comments I have received I know this is welcomed and will be a big boost to members at a time when they are not able to leave their homes.
“Since closing our health clubs on Friday we have also been supporting our local communities, and all the food in our café bars has been donated to food banks to help those in the greatest need.
“Although we can’t interact personally, I will be following the #Imissbannatynebecause community and I’d like to personally thank members for their loyalty and the amazing staff for all their hard work. Stay home, stay well.”
