3 Exercises Every Person With Varicose Veins Should Do

Step 1: Lie on your back with your legs together

Step 2: Without your bending legs, straighten and lift your legs until your butt comes off the floor

Step 3:  Slowly lower your legs till they are just hovering above the floor. Sustain this position for a few seconds

Step 4: Straighten and raise your legs again.

Step 5: Repeat


This exercise is perfect for those who prefer to go outdoors when doing their regular exercise.

Just like walking, bicycling also improves the circulation in your legs. This, in turn, prevents the worsening of your varicose veins.

But, as with any successful workout for varicose veins, the key to this type of exercise is in moderation.

Given that this is only meant to be a low-impact workout, cycling long distances is not ideal. Doing this can strain your leg muscles, causing your varicose veins to swell or look even worse.

Ideally, a 20 to 30-minute bike ride is enough to keep you active. You can do this three to four times a week.
