Two young entrepreneurs have launched a major campaign to tackle mental health issues in young people struggling to cope as we emerge from lockdown.
Ollie and Toby Brittan, the founders of the UK’s leading provider of non-peroxide natural teeth whitening company Whites Beaconsfield have launched the Smile High Club – a long term campaign to fund mental health initiatives.
Launching at the start of Mental Health Awareness Week (May 10-16) Ollie, 26, and Toby, 28, passionately support the work of mental health charity YoungMinds and will start by raising funds by donating £5 for every ‘Smile High Club’ teeth whitening kit, specially designed for the campaign.
The innovative young entrepreneurs will also raise awareness of mental health across their social media audience and dedicate long term support through a number of educational initiatives.
For every Smile High Club kit bought £5 will be donated to help fund mental health charity Young Minds and help them with their mission to see a world where no young person feels alone with their mental health. The campaign will also help with awareness and educate people about mental health and how to seek help.
Ollie said: “The Smile High Club is a way to help put the smile back on the faces of those who have and will carry on to suffer. The campaign will recognise the damage caused by Covid and assist young minds combat mental health struggles. It is looking increasingly likely we will be able to enjoy the summer as we once did but as life reopens we do not want to forget those who cannot forget.”
Toby said: “Whites Beaconsfield is a company proud to support mental health issues and we hope The Smile High Club will put a smile back on faces, raise awareness, education as well as raise funds for the mental health charity. We want people to smile because we hope and pray the worst is over but at the same time we don’t want to forget those who can’t smile.”
The government’s globally respected vaccination programme has allowed the UK to loosen the constraints of the pandemic which has paralysed peoples lives.
But a recent survey found that 76 per cent of young people with experience of mental health problems believe the pandemic will have long term negative effects on their mental health. The scars of the pandemic will run deep but with support it is hoped that we can once again put a smile back on our faces.
Last week in a significant shift epidemiologist Professor Neil Ferguson said the risk of a third wave was was diminishing giving hope for a summer we will never forget.
Whites Beaconsfield is the UK’s leading provider of non-peroxide natural teeth whitening products and after an incredible 18 months has announced a global expansion after revenues of £4m in their first year.
Whites Beaconsfield was founded at the end of 2019 by brothers Ollie and Toby Brittan with their best friend Tom Jansons.
At the start of the pandemic the business was struggling and with the threat of the pending lockdown the brothers set up a website to sell the one thousand pieces of stock they had. Within a matter of days Whites Beaconsfield had sold out of these initial one thousand units. They are now working on major expansion plans across Europe and America as the successful brothers plan their next major business assault.
Whites Beaconsfield specialise in non-peroxide teeth whitening kits that show results after just ten minutes and range in price from £9.99 to £114.99. The products vary from single items to ultimate teeth whitening kits (full product range www.whitesbeaconsfield.co.uk). The extensively researched natural, vegan friendly oral care products are guaranteed to give cleaner teeth and a sparkly smile, naturally.
The non-peroxide alternative has been very successful because of the low cost convenient products which give great money back guarantee results without the use of peroxide.
Dr Ali Hussain, a fully qualified NHS and private dentist, said: “I love how the Whites Beaconsfield products all contain natural products and ingredients and ingredients that help brighten people’s smiles as well as strengthen their teeth. Peroxide based whitening gels can cause irritation to the gums they can cause sensitivity during the whitening process especially if they’re done incorrectly. So, using a non peroxide such as the Whites beaconsfield formula you eliminate that risk but still get the end result of a brightened smile. So overall its a gentler way to brighten your smile. My personal experience with the new formula has been positive I’m happy with the results that I achieved and I would highly recommend it.”
