Following on from their Manchester-exclusive release last year, END. and PUMA reunite with “Classics”: a three-piece collection that celebrates the importance of classic design and premium craft.
PUMA’s iconic Clyde sneaker is brought under the spotlight, with a rework that champions elevated materials and intricate detailing.
PUMA’s Clyde sneaker debuted in 1973 as part of a sponsorship deal with basketball legend, Walt “Clyde” Frazier, marking a first in the history of NBA player endorsement deals.
Its sleek, low-cut shape and premium suede construction would soon find its favour beyond the hardwood, too, with the sneaker becoming a go-to amongst a variety of subcultures in the years that followed.
2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the classic sneaker, with Puma partnering with END. to kick off a year of collabs, city exclusives and inline drops.
END. and PUMA rework the Clyde in a trio of colours to celebrate the iconic sneaker and its heritage, with a red, navy blue and green rendition.
A heavy emphasis is placed on the materials, details and craft poured into the sneaker, with each one made using hairy suede and limited to 300 pairs, which is referenced in the gold foil lettering stamped at each heel.
Co-branding is worked into the heels and insole, too, to complete the collaborative look.
The END. x PUMA “Classics” collection will launch via END. Launches on 27th January.
