One year after launching HIIT-based workout, FORTIS, powered by Speedflex at Spelthorne Leisure Centre, former professional footballer, Dion Dublin is returning to honour its first anniversary.
The self-confessed HIIT fan will be leading the celebrations with a specially curated workout and a members’ awards ceremony.
Renowned for delivering ‘HIIT Without the Hurt’ FORTIS, powered by Speedflex, is an affordable, accessible and inclusive workout, where everyone from experienced athletes to those new to exercise can work out to their maximum, in the same class.
Spelthorne Leisure Centre, managed by Everyone Active in partnership with Spelthorne Borough Council, launched the FORTIS, powered by Speedflex studio in July 2021.
Over the last 12 months, it has gained a wealth of ‘HIIT-hooked’ fans that work up a sweat in the daily sessions.
To celebrate the most devoted FORTIS fans, awards will be handed out at the anniversary celebrations to honour the ‘Most classes attended’, ‘Class introducer’ and the most determined member with the ‘Mr Motivator’ award, as well as many more.
Following the awards ceremony, Dion, along with the help of master FORTIS trainers, will lead a specially curated version of the FORTIS class, themed around 365 – the same number of days as the studio has been open.
Participants will work in blocks of 365 seconds to navigate their way through exercises on 12 different machines (the same number of months the studio has been open).

The one-year anniversary event will be taking place from 6 pm on Wednesday 20th July 2022 at the Spelthorne Leisure Centre.
