Balanced Body®, a leading name in Pilates equipment and education, has received Active IQ endorsement for its newly launched professional education program, specifically designed to upskill fitness instructors with a Group Reformer Pilates certification.
This initiative is in direct response to growing global demand for specialized Pilates training for fitness professionals.
The Active IQ Professional Recognition Service has awarded a Silver License to both the Balanced Body “Reformer 1 For the Fitness Professional” and “Reformer 2 For the Fitness Professional” programs, ensuring they meet a high standard of quality.
This endorsement serves as a quality kite mark, validating the comprehensive and professional nature of Balanced Body’s training programs.
Joy Puleo, Director of Education at Balanced Body, described the intent behind the new courses: “Created for fitness professionals, our aim was to develop an accessible, flexible education program that holds relevance to the instructor’s wider work with clients.
Our ‘Group Reformer for the Fitness’ curriculum meets the instructor where they are, upskilling them in the Pilates method with strong emphasis on quality of movement, proper breathing technique, and the connection of mind and body in motion.”
Puleo also highlighted the program’s emphasis on maintaining high education standards while removing traditional barriers such as cost and rigidity.
The new certification program aligns with Balanced Body’s existing Pilates Reformer Instructor program, allowing instructors who complete the Group Reformer education to continue their journey seamlessly if they choose to pursue further training.
In the UK, the Group Reformer education program offers flexibility in delivery. It can be conducted on-site to meet a customer’s specific needs, at one of Balanced Body’s partner venues, or at the Balanced Body Training Centre.
The program is currently open for booking, providing opportunities for fitness instructors to enhance their skills in a practical and professional environment.
