The team at Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest is sharing their passion for their city with guests through a unique weekly “cultural workout” experience.
This idea was initiated by employees of the Hotel wishing to help guests discover their city like never before.
Over a distance of about 5-7 kilometres (3-4.35 miles) featuring the most beautiful monuments and views of the city, guests of the Hotel can now combine their passion for the outdoors while enjoying Budapest at its best.
The voluntarily early departure for the tour allows guests to enjoy the magic of the day rising over the breathtakingly beautiful Budapest – a truly special time of day.
Hotel guests are invited to walk, jog or run across the Chain Bridge across the river all the way up to the Statue of Liberty on top of Gellert Hill.
Participating guests are escorted by local experts at the Hotel, who are happy to share their Budapest and the unique spectacle offered by the Chain Bridge, the Buda Castle, the Gellert Hill, the Philosophers’ Garden, and the Varkert Bazaar, all while Budapest is literally waking up.
This offers a great way to connect with Hotel staff who will adjust the speed of the workout fitting to the pace of the group while pointing out the most Instagrammable sights along the way.
“The best part of the experience is getting to the top of the Citadella on the hill and having it all to yourself (before the tourists), you feel a sense of accomplishment and at the same time see all of Budapest in its most glorious hour,” says Peter Buday, Chef Concierge at Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace.
The unique cultural workout is complimentary for all the guests of the hotel upon reservation at the Concierge desk and takes place every Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 am.
Beginners, intermediate, and advanced are welcome. Available between April and September, the tour is weather-dependent.
