In the biggest product launch for five years, world-leading performance clothing brand Musto has unveiled a suite of cutting-edge MPX Race products designed for and tested by competitive offshore sailors.
Offshore racing is changing: sailors are increasingly spending more time in the protected cockpit and down below, and less time out on deck. But when they are on deck, speeds are only increasing.
As a response to this changing environment, Musto’s MPX Race collection includes a new generation of GORE-TEX Pro* membranes, new photoluminescent reflectors and lighter garments for improved functionality.
The garments also feature a recycled face fabric, making the garment more sustainable than previous iterations.

The entire range of MPX Race products are built with a new generation of GORE-TEX Pro membranes, which are waterproof and windproof with enhanced durability, enabling them to withstand the harsh demands of offshore sailing.
The 3-layer GORE-TEX Pro membrane is constructed with a recycled nylon face fabric and a solution-dyed tricot backer for strong abrasion and tear resistance.

MPX Gore-Tex Pro Race Jacket 2.0 (£550)
- GORE-TEX mechanical stretch has been added into seamless shoulder panels, offering maximum freedom of movement.
- Recycled face fabric.
- Ergonomically considered seams, articulated sleeves and underarm gussets enhance agility.
- New and improved collar system featuring an internal PU* coated collar with gusset and velcro tab adjustment and an external overlaid collar with hook and loop adjustment to improve waterproof protection.
- Top loading hood engineered with GORE-TEX Paclite high-vis, concealed within the external collar. This reduces the bulk at the back of the neck when the hood is stowed, making the style more comfortable to wear with a life vest.

- Latex seals on the collar and cuffs to prevent water ingress.
- The chest pocket has been removed and a new and improved lower pocket construction with two waterproof zips opening to a large kangaroo pocket. An additional pocket, with top waterproof zip access, is bonded to the kangaroo pocket and allows access for a navigation tablet, map or notepad. - Redesigned upper back shoulder panel, constructed from a single layer of four-way stretch CORDURA®* with a long-lasting Durable Water Repellent (DWR)* for improved freedom of movement.
- Recycled face fabric.
- Slimmed down legs reduce weight and bulk
- Abrasion-resistant knee pads for added durability when moving and kneeling around onboard
- Improved thigh pockets, with added volume making pockets easier to access when seated
- An elasticated hook and loop tab waist adjustment has been added, offering greater comfort than a plastic buckle.
