Ahead of its return to the Asian continent April 28-30, LIV Golf has announced that Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), Asia’s premium award-winning lifestyle destination resort, will be the presenting partner and official hotel of LIV Golf Singapore.

The LIV Golf League’s fifth tournament of the 2023 season will be LIV Golf Singapore presented by Resorts World Sentosa, marking the league’s first visit to Singapore.

This season, 48 of the world’s best players, including global icons Dustin Johnson, Cameron Smith, Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau, will take on The Serapong, the No. 1 rated course in the country, at the world-renowned Sentosa Golf Club.

The first truly global golf league featuring 14 tournaments in seven different countries, LIV Golf’s 12 teams are competing all season long in the pursuit of the LIV Golf League Individual Championship and Team Championship in a competition format that is building new rivalries on the course while delivering world-class fan entertainment.

The partnership with LIV Golf reiterates RWS’ commitment to bringing global attractions for fans and tourists on the island, as it is already home to Universal Studios Singapore, S.E.A. Aquarium, Dolphin Island and Adventure Cove Waterpark, complemented by six distinctive luxury hotels which players, fans, and stakeholders can enjoy throughout the week.

“We are bringing LIV Golf to Singapore as it is part of our DNA to offer new and premium experiences to our wide range of visitors. Many of our premium visitors are also golf enthusiasts and this event will appeal to them.

We will continue to work with like-minded partners to make RWS a compelling lifestyle and leisure proposition that resonates with our target consumers with diverse interests across entertainment, food, the arts, sports, and much more,” said Mr. Tan Hee Teck, Chief Executive Officer of RWS.

“RWS continues to be at the forefront of Singapore’s tourism and lifestyle landscape, providing its visitors with a pipeline of specially curated thematic offerings that are second to none.”

“We are proud to have Resorts World Sentosa as the presenting partner for LIV Golf Singapore,” said LIV Golf Commissioner and CEO Greg Norman.

“The tournament will bring the world’s best golfers to Asia, a massive market deserving of our sport’s top competition and event experiences.

The LIV Golf League is changing the game and aligns with RWS’ commitment to introducing world-class entertainment to tourists and locals on the island.”

Regarded as one of the world’s best golf courses, players and fans will experience The Serapong’s iconic layout, with fast, challenging greens, trademark contours and signature holes.

Since 2018, Sentosa Golf Club has been widely recognized for its commitment to sustainability, having become the first golf club in the world to join the UN Sports for Climate Action Initiative.

On March 2, it was announced as the world’s first carbon-neutral golf club, delivering on a commitment made during golf’s HSBC Women’s World Championship in 2021.

Named “World’s Best Eco-Friendly Golf Facility” for the third year in a row and “Asia’s Best Golf Course” at the 2022 World Golf Awards, the Club also earned two further awards, “Best Championship Course in Asia-Pacific” and “Singapore’s Best Golf Course” at the recent edition of the Asian Golf Awards, hosted in Vietnam.
