Under Armour Launches Infinite Elite 2 Running Shoe with Exclusive Dubai Event

Under Armour Inifite 2 launch in Dubai 2025

Under Armour Infinite Elite 2 was the star of a three-day launch event in Dubai, where more than 50 runners and influencers from nine European and Middle Eastern countries put the revamped shoe through its paces.

Set against the buzzing backdrop of the city’s marina, beaches, and desert, the unveiling showcased a footwear design that promises to keep runners going the distance—both literally and figuratively.

Crafted with a softer HOVR+™ foam, the latest iteration of this endurance-focused shoe delivers a cushioned ride without piling on extra weight.

Under Armour has visibly trimmed down the tooling to bring runners a leaner, lighter feel underfoot, while the breathable engineered mesh upper provides welcome ventilation during those sweaty long runs.

The men’s version weighs in at 10.2oz (290g), and the women’s slightly less at 8.4oz (238g), helping both camps tackle daily miles with fewer complaints from tired legs.

The schedule of runs in Dubai was designed to capture all the thrill and challenge that comes with putting any running shoe to a real test.

A gentle warm-up around the picturesque Marina kicked things off, followed by a breezy sunset run on Kite Beach, all culminating in a longer desert trek.

Throughout, participants reported a springy, supportive sensation—a testament to the updated foam and strategic midsole heights of 36mm in the heel and 28mm in the forefoot, plus an 8mm offset that caters to runners seeking a smooth, consistent stride.

Perhaps the biggest highlight was Under Armour’s largest brand house in the world, which is located at the spectacular Dubai Mall.

Here, the Under Armour Infinite Elite 2 was officially unveiled for the EMEA region. The event brought together elite athletes, including 1500m specialist Adam Fogg and his coach Cory Leslie, alongside footwear expert Jonathan Hutnyan, who all underscored how the shoe’s signature technologies support different running styles.

Launching globally on January 17th in both men’s and women’s fits, the Under Armour Infinite Elite 2 will retail at around $160, €160, or £145.

It is joined by other additions to the Infinite Collection—namely, the Infinite Mega and Infinite Pro 2—available both online at UA.com and through select retailers.

With this second edition, Under Armour is clearly staking a claim in the competitive running shoe arena, aiming to capture the perfect blend of cushioning, stability, and style for runners intent on reaching their next finish line.
