The UEFA Women’s European Championships 2022 will be the first major women’s football tournament England has hosted since 2005 and the BBC will be on hand to broadcast all 31 games live from the competition, and deliver 24/7 coverage across television, radio and digital this summer. Every game will be broadcast live across BBC One, BBC Two, BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport website and app.
Every home nation game will be live on BBC One, starting with tournament hosts England against Austria at Old Trafford in the opening game live on Wednesday, July 6.
The following day Northern Ireland, who are featuring in their first-ever major tournament, kick off their campaign against Norway.
Audiences can follow both nations’ progression in the group stages, plus the other 14 nations, including holders the Netherlands and top-ranking teams Sweden, France, Germany and Spain, across the BBC this July.
Television and BBC iPlayer
Gabby Logan, Alex Scott, Reshmin Chowdhury, Eilidh Barbour and Kelly Somers will lead live coverage across BBC television and BBC iPlayer.
Expert insight and analysis will come from an international line-up that includes former England greats Fara Williams, Ian Wright, Alex Scott, Kelly Smith, Anita Asante, Izzy Christensen, Rachel Brown-Finnis and Sue Smith, Northern Ireland and Glentoran forward Caragh Hamilton, former Northern Ireland captain Gail Redmond, former French defender Laura Georges, Arsenal Women’s Head Coach Jonas Eidevall, Spain and Manchester City midfielder Vicky Losada, Anouk Hoogendjik, a Dutch international with over 100 caps for her country, and former Glasgow City and Birmingham City Women coach, Scott Booth.
Leading the commentary across all platforms are Robyn Cowen and Vicki Sparks. Other members of the team who will be joining them are Jonathan Pearce, Pien Meulensteen and Mark Scott.
Jo Currie (England camp reporter) and Kelly Somers (tournament reporter) will deliver audiences all of the updates and interviews from the Lionesses camp as they happen.
Thomas Kane (Northern Ireland camp reporter) and Nicola McCarthy (tournament reporter) will follow Northern Ireland’s movements throughout the tournament.
Alongside a Daily Euros Podcast on BBC Sounds which is dedicated to all of the stories around the tournament from July 4 – August 1, 5 Live and Sounds will be delivering listeners live match coverage of every England and Northern Ireland game, plus every match from the quarter-finals onwards.
Coverage of the Women’s Euros will be presented by Emma Saunders, Steve Crossman, Ben Haines and Juliette Ferrington, who will be following the England team and reporting on them this summer.
Commentators Vicki Sparks, Robyn Cowen, Pien Meulensteen, Alistair Bruce Ball and Seb Hutchinson will be joined on co-commentary by England internationals Izzy Christiansen, Anita Asante and Natasha Dowie, former Northern Ireland player Stephen Craigan, Pat Nevin and Julien Laurens.

BBC TV and radio sports news will deliver all of the latest from the home nations’ camps and developments from the tournament.
During the Women’s Euros, BBC News Channel will be live at all England and Northern Ireland matches, plus match reports on network bulletins across news broadcast platforms.
Audiences will also be introduced to teams and players with behind-the-scenes access on BBC World Service, who have spent time with the reigning champions Netherlands to find out why the country produces some of the best players in the world.
