The North Face introduces the Baltoro Collection. History reimagined, combining trusted tech with hand-drawn expedition notes from Conrad Anker – one of the most prolific explorers and mountaineers alive today.
Conrad has been pushing the limits of mountaineering for the last 30 years, evolving into one of America’s best alpinists.
Throughout his career, Conrad has pioneered difficult new routes in the most remote places on earth. In this season of his life, he continues to push the boundaries of exploration in new ways.
Following in the footsteps of Conrad’s greatest ascents, the collection takes notes – literally – from the infamous Baltoro Glacier.
The glacier is located in the rugged Karakoram Mountain range in Asia and is one of the largest in the world. He considers it to be one of his greatest ascents, demanding dedication, unimaginable skill and determination to conquer.
The collection honours Conrad’s legacy and The North Face’s dedication to the outdoors. The original Baltoro jacket from 1994 was a revolution in high-alpine mountaineering and a staple of The North Face’s Expedition System.
Tested and trusted in the kits of legendary athletes, the Baltoro has now been reinvented for the every day, anchored in the unpredictable and primed for what comes next.
Designs and prints inspired by definitive moments in the world of exploration, this capsule allows the beholder to follow in the footsteps of Conrad Anker’s greatest ascents with performance-inspired tech built for the everyday.
Across the collection, you will discover notes of wisdom from Conrad Anker illustrating his very own diary entries and depicting how he would tackle the most daring of expeditions. A true ode to the beauty of exploration and a legendary feat.
Emblazoned with a distinctive yet classic mountain print, the Baltoro collection features the Himalayan Baltoro Jacket, Heavyweight Tee and Sweatpants, and the Glenclyffe Low shoes.
Classic silhouettes with a mountainscape edge and a subtle touch of personalisation, Baltoro truly unites the peaks with the streets whilst being able to revel inside the mind of one of The North Face’s most iconic athletes.
The collection is available to purchase from 28th November at www.thenorthface.co.uk and in select The North Face stores.
