Today marks a significant milestone for Canyon as they introduce the all-new 4th generation Aeroad.
This cutting-edge machine, developed with meticulous feedback from Canyon’s pro riders and team mechanics, is acclaimed as the fastest bike in the WorldTour peloton.
It’s a pure racing beast, offering unparalleled reliability, durability, and integration that transforms every ride into a seamless, exhilarating experience.
Crafted by Professionals
The creation of the new Aeroad was heavily influenced by insights from over 50 WorldTour pros and their mechanics.
Their directive was unequivocal: the 4th generation Aeroad must maintain the sheer speed of its predecessor while incorporating comprehensive refinements.
The result is a bike that not only pushes the limits but also remains incredibly serviceable and undeniably swift.
Built to Endure, Ready to Race
Durability is a cornerstone of the new Aeroad’s design, equipped to withstand the intense demands of racing.
From reinforced carbon layups in critical areas to meticulous attention to mechanical details, this bike is engineered for resilience.
The frame enhancements also bolster handling responsiveness, crucial for race scenarios.
Despite its robust build, the Aeroad remains exceptionally light, with complete setups weighing just over 7 kg.
Furthermore, the increased 32 mm tyre clearance makes this Aeroad the most adaptable aero racer, fit for any terrain from the smooth roads of Milan-San Remo to the rugged cobblestones of Paris-Roubaix.
Introducing the PACE Bar
The 4th generation Aeroad features the innovative PACE Bar, short for Performance Adaptive Cockpit Ecosystem.
This breakthrough in cockpit modularity offers riders a range of performance options and a broader fit range.
The ability to quickly swap handlebar drops between Classic Drops and Aero Drops, the latter providing a more aggressive flare, enhances aerodynamics significantly.
The Aero Drops can reduce the rider’s frontal surface area, saving up to 14 watts when it’s crucial.
The Fastest Bike in the WorldTour
Maintaining its reputation as the fastest bike in the WorldTour was a primary goal. Testing at the GST Wind Tunnel in South Germany confirms that the new Aeroad leads the WorldTour peloton in speed.
The remarkable engineering feat is that it achieves top-tier aerodynamic performance while staying light and compliant, suitable for all high-level road races.
Unmatched Reliability
Beyond speed, the Aeroad is designed to be a joy to own and maintain. Canyon’s engineers have ensured that the Aeroad is straightforward to set up and easy to maintain.
With hermetically sealed premium headset bearings and the use of high-strength T25 stainless steel and titanium screws throughout the frameset, the Aeroad promises day-in, day-out performance, season after season.
The New Aeroad Range
The new Aeroad lineup features six models, equipped with Shimano Di2 or SRAM AXS, across two platforms: the Aeroad CFR and Aeroad CF SLX. The CFR models boast the finest carbon available, offering a frameset that epitomizes lightness, toughness, and stiffness at a WorldTour level.
The Aeroad CF SLX models achieve an optimal balance between lightweight construction and high strength.
Available in Di2 or AXS builds, the CF SLX models come in either a CF SLX 7 or CF SLX 8 specification.
Both the Aeroad CF SLX and Aeroad CFR platforms showcase full system integration and electronic groupsets, complete with power meters on all models except the AEROAD CF SLX 7 AXS.
The all-new 4th generation Aeroad is now available exclusively at Canyon.com or through the Canyon app.
