From Ayrton Senna’s Legacy to 10-Piece Exclusives: TAG Heuer’s 2025 Vision Is Built to Win

TAG Heuer Collection

TAG Heuer is once again shifting into high gear with the launch of nine fresh Formula 1 references—an homage to a storied 1980s icon and a bold reaffirmation of the brand’s racing heritage.

The Swiss luxury watchmaker synonymous with motorsport has refined its celebrated Formula 1 lineup with a compact 38mm case, advanced finishing techniques (including sandblasted steel and DLC treatments), an ergonomic boost, a cutting-edge Solargraph movement, and a colour palette that’s pure eye candy.

As the official timekeeper of Formula 1®, there’s no better time to recapture the spark that set this legendary collection in motion.

Speed and Partnerships Drive Forward

Back in 1986, the newly renamed TAG Heuer unveiled the first Formula 1 series—an endeavour closely tied to the company’s philosophy of performance, innovation, and futurism.

That watershed moment emerged from the unification of the historic Heuer brand with Techiques d’Avant Garde, giving rise to inventive product designs, marketing approaches, and collaborations that reshaped the watchmaking industry.

“Embracing the zeitgeist of the late 1980s, with hues that had not been seen before in the luxury Swiss watchmaking industry,” the original Formula 1 collection won over a new generation of enthusiasts thanks to its lively colours and dynamic design elements. It quickly became a beloved “first Swiss watch” for many collectors, a tradition TAG Heuer proudly upholds with today’s newly reimagined Formula 1 pieces.

Over the years, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 has kept evolving, forging collaborations with luminaries and iconic brands like Kith and Oracle Red Bull Racing.

Every partnership has left its mark on this collection, proving time and again that it doesn’t just keep time; it celebrates the adrenaline of racing culture.

Officially intertwined with the Formula 1® circuit, TAG Heuer has left its imprint on countless race finishes, from Ferrari’s triumphs in the 1970s to modern-day McLaren milestones—always pushing the boundaries of timing technology.

Now, the Formula 1 collection accelerates forward with a fresh infusion of contemporary spirit, blending the brand’s history of speed with the best of modern innovation.

Designed for a New Generation

TAG Heuer Green Face

The latest TAG Heuer Formula 1 series includes nine dynamic models. Three stand as the core collection: a timeless black-and-white dial version, a deep blue dial edition, both offered on a steel bracelet and a vibrant red variation.

Another six limited-edition models flash bolder combinations—black and red, black and yellow, blue and black, white and green, white and red, and a green and red edition—each echoing the original 1986 collection’s lively soul.

TAG Heuer keeps the signature “décroché” design flourish, originating from the original 35mm range, but now pairs it with a comfortable 38mm size.

This balance preserves the unmistakable sportiness of the Formula 1 line while fine-tuning ergonomics for versatile, everyday wear. Super-LumiNova® coated indexes, shaped to recall the classic shield markers, are now applied to the dial, elevating the watch’s polished appearance.

Meanwhile, the reworked hands—reflecting the original look—feature higher-quality finishes and improved proportions for excellent legibility in any environment.

Case proportions have also been revamped for a snug fit that doesn’t sacrifice the iconic Formula 1 boldness.

Every model arrives on either a sporty rubber strap—embossed with the TAG Heuer logo—or a steel bracelet, both designed with versatility and comfort in mind. The steel bracelet, in particular, comes with enhanced articulation for a more refined feel on the wrist.

Innovation at the Core

Adding to the excitement are sandblasted steel cases with DLC treatments and TH-Polylight cases featuring TAG Heuer’s pioneering Solargraph movement—a first for the Formula 1 series.

With Solargraph, each watch recharges under sunlight or indoor lighting, allowing it to run for up to ten months with no additional exposure once fully charged.

If the movement stops, it will tick again within just ten seconds under any light source. This ultra-efficient technology even extends the battery’s lifespan to around 15 years, underscoring the brand’s unwavering commitment to advanced performance.

But the innovation doesn’t stop at the movement. TH-Polylight, a new, lightweight, durable material that offers limitless color possibilities, makes its debut in the Formula 1 lineup.

It appears on the re-engineered bidirectional bezel—loved by Formula 1 devotees—offering a refined mechanical click for an enhanced tactile experience.

Whether you’re at the track or downtown, this rejuvenated Formula 1 series pays tribute to TAG Heuer’s legacy while charging into the future—“BECAUSE RACING NEVER STOPS.”
