If you’re tired of pounding the treadmill, Speedo’s new Less Gym More Swim campaign might be right up your street.

Set to make waves in 2025, it’s all about getting us back in the pool and embracing swimming as the ultimate full-body workout—after all, it fires up 24 muscle groups at once.

With this global push, Speedo hopes to coax seasoned swimmers and everyday fitness fans alike to switch up their routines, jump into the water, and rediscover why swimming is the original all-over fitness fix.

Powered by new digital fitness content, real-life experiences and inventive product releases, the Speedo Less Gym More Swim campaign aims to guide athletes and enthusiasts alike towards enhanced performance, flexibility and mental wellbeing.

Still sceptical that a quick dip could supercharge your fitness routine? Think again. One survey discovered that 87% of participants felt more energised, while 89% noticed a real boost in strength once they made the pool a regular part of their workouts.

Meanwhile, another study showed that runners who swapped just 10% of their usual training time for water workouts shaved more than 13 seconds off their 3.2km run in just eight weeks—talk about making waves in your performance!

Speedo is making it easier than ever to dive into this whole-body workout with its new drill workout videos, designed by professional trainers.

These sessions zero in on technique pillars like power, efficiency, coordination, and endurance—ideal if you’re after a solid cross-training boost.

Whether you’re a football fanatic chasing an edge on the pitch or a dedicated weightlifter looking to strengthen your core, these easy-to-follow drills fit seamlessly into just about any routine.

Speedo VP Brand Marketing, Steph O’Neill said, “Swimming remains the ultimate and original full body workout, engaging 24 muscle groups with low impact highly effective training that offers added benefits such as enhanced flexibility and mental well-being.

With Less Gym, More Swim we’re inviting everyone to enhance their fitness journey and discover how swimming can offer a refreshing way to supplement their typical training environment and enjoy all the benefits of a full-body workout.

Stay tuned to Speedo channels for updates and more swim fitness content throughout 2025”.
Speedo ambassador and Olympic Gold Medallist, Cullen Jones said: “Throughout my career swim training has benefitted all facets of my wider fitness goals and I’m excited to see Speedo’s latest campaign help inspire the fitness community and start enjoying the benefits of swim-based workouts.

Whether running, cycling, strength training or simply looking to boost training goals, swim has the potential to transform our fitness and wellbeing, and I encourage everyone to dive in and embrace Less Gym, More Swim”.

January kicked things off with Power24, a Strava-based challenge rewarding those who clocked four swim workouts with a 20% product discount.

In February 2025, the campaign will expand into retail spaces and physical events, reaching pools, lakes and oceans worldwide.

Speedo invites you to join the movement, set new milestones and experience the profound impact of adding swim-based workouts to your training routine.
