Reflo Launches Limited “Giant’s Capsule” for The Open 2025

In a collaboration that feels as epic as a back-nine charge on Sunday at The Open, sustainable performancewear brand Reflo has teamed up with golf’s oldest Major to launch a limited-edition capsule ahead of The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush.

And this isn’t just another run of polos and caps. It’s a tribute—to the land, to the legends, and to the larger-than-life characters who’ve walked the hallowed links before.

Dubbed The Giant’s Capsule, the collection takes its cues from the mythical Giant’s Causeway and the folklore of Irish colossus Finn McCool—because if you’re going to dress for greatness, why not start with a legend who built stepping stones across the sea?

“The Open isn’t just a golf tournament. It’s where legends are made,” said Reflo co-founder Rory MacFadyen. “With The Giants Capsule, we wanted to honour the mythical spirit of Finn McCool and the raw beauty of the Portrush coastline, while celebrating the modern giants of the game preparing to battle it out on the links.

We’ve designed each piece to carry that story. Built with purpose, rooted in sustainability and ready to perform. We’re delighted to be working alongside The Open and look forward to activating the partnership throughout tournament week, bringing the collection to life where history, myth, and sport collide.”

The campaign has roped in a modern titan of sport—Reflo ambassador and England football captain Harry Kane—who’s clearly not afraid to swap the pitch for the green.

Sporting gear that’s stitched with Reflo’s recycled high-performance fabrics, Kane fronts the campaign with a nod to both athletic ambition and environmental accountability.

Expect to see a bold yet refined range of polos, midlayers, hoodies, and caps—all Open-branded and engineered with movement in mind. But this isn’t just about performance wear—it’s about presence. These are garments designed to make a statement, whether you’re chasing birdies or beers at the 19th hole.

To bring the tale full circle, Reflo has produced a stunning series of short films shot across the dramatic Northern Irish coastline. From the jagged cliffs of Portrush to the otherworldly basalt columns of the Causeway, the content promises to plunge fans into a world where myth and reality collide—and where every garment tells a story.

Matt Tomlinson, Head of Retail, Merchandise & Licensing at The R&A, said: “It is very exciting for us to welcome Reflo as an Official Licensee of The Open.

Our shared commitment to sustainability when considering product ranges, coupled with a natural desire to tell stories through merchandise, has helped us create an incredibly exciting, limited edition collection for our fans this summer.

It has been great fun working with the team at Reflo and I am excited to see the reaction to the product over the coming weeks.”

Every item in the Reflo collection stays true to the brand’s green credentials. Made with recycled materials, each sale contributes to tree planting and water-saving projects—proof that you can dress like a legend and still tread lightly.

But a word to the wise: only 500 of each item will be made. Once they’re gone, they’re as mythical as Finn McCool’s footsteps. Fans can find the collection exclusively at The Open’s Official Merchandise Shop at Royal Portrush or online at TheOpen.com/shop and reflo.com starting 17th June 2025.

If you’re going to dress for a fight with giants, you may as well look the part.
