The benefits of saunas are heating up across the UK with the launch of PortaSauna X, a groundbreaking wellbeing initiative by Portsmouth-based PortaSauna.
Brainchild of founder Jordan Boon, PortaSauna X is set to unite individuals and wellness groups from every corner of the United Kingdom.
Boon, who kicked off his portable sauna business earlier this year, teamed up with business partner Harry Beardsley to organise and host a series of PortaSauna X events.
These events invite groups to relax, rejuvenate, and elevate their mental wellbeing in a unique, portable sauna experience.
“We’re creating a vibrant gathering space for like-minded enthusiasts who cherish outdoor activities and wellness,” Boon said.
“The plan is to bring people together to enable them to relax, boost their wellbeing, enjoy the outdoors, and enjoy the benefits of a sauna.”
PortaSauna X has already collaborated with various wellbeing-focused groups, from wild swimming clubs to yoga groups, ensuring attendees can blend sauna sessions with organised activities.
This holistic approach encourages sharing experiences, tackling common challenges, and celebrating successes together.
Leveraging social media, Boon has successfully raised awareness about PortaSauna X, attracting interest from over 30 groups across the UK.
Notably, the initiative has secured two ambassadors: Hannah Goodger, a spa host and personal trainer from Burton-on-Trent, and Jo Robotham, founder of a community sea swim group and Tide and Trail on the Wirral.
The initiative’s first meetup in Southsea this month was a resounding success. Attendees included Sole Sisters, Yoga with Emily, and the Recovery Swimming Club, all based around Portsmouth.
“We hosted our first one in early June at the beach at Southsea and had an incredible day,” Boon shared.
“The aim is to roll it out across the UK, and we already have interest from groups in Weymouth and The Wirral in Merseyside.”
PortaSauna X is actively seeking partnerships with outdoor groups, including sea swimmers, mental health advocates, and outdoor fitness enthusiasts.
“Our goal is to strengthen these communities by providing a space to connect and grow, enhancing the impact of each group’s activities and allowing us to create even larger community groups,” Boon explained.
“We do not want to take away anything from the groups; instead, we want to let them use the power in numbers to get heard.”
Adding to the community spirit, PortaSauna X also offers a range of apparel where clubs can feature their own logos, exclusively for community members.
This initiative aims to foster a sense of belonging and unity among the participants.
With its innovative approach and strong community focus, PortaSauna X is set to transform the wellness landscape across the UK.
