Designer Nicholas Daley Releases Collab Collection With Chelsea Football Club

NICHOLAS DALEY

Renowned UK fashion designer Nicholas Daley is joining forces with Chelsea Football Club to unveil an exclusive collection that pays tribute to the pioneering legacy of Paul Canoville, Chelsea’s first men’s black player.

In commemoration of Black History Month, this limited edition collection named ‘Tied Together’ curated by the London-based designer, captures the essence of Canoville’s profound impact in progressing football and world culture while connecting young fans to the history of the game and providing new opportunities in the community.

The inspired collection includes iconic 80’s 80-inspired Terrace Tracksuit jackets and The Pride of London scarves, all infused with Daley’s unique style and cultural heritage influences.

The collaboration serves as a powerful initiative to connect the remarkable story of Paul Canoville with the next generation, with the aim of empowering local communities and nurturing future change-makers.

Proceeds from the collection will be generously donated to the Paul Canoville Foundation (PCF), a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting young Londoners in need.

Specifically, these contributions will go toward the PCF and United Learning initiative, which focuses on enhancing literacy, attendance, and promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in education.

Paul Canoville, Chelsea’s first men’s black player, and Nicholas Daley, a London-based fashion designer renowned for his fusion of cultural heritage and contemporary style, both share deep Caribbean roots. Their Caribbean heritage forms the heart of this collaboration, highlighting the power of diversity and inclusion.

Chelsea Players have also been forthcoming to show their support to the project. Spending time to understand the connections and cause, Reece James led a lineup of players including Levi Colwill, Sam Kerr, Connor Gallagher, Kadeisha Buchanan, Zećira Mušović, and fans including Elis Gilbert, and Felicia Pennant who all embody Chelsea FC’s commitment to the cause.

Jack Peters, Head of Global Fan Engagement: At Chelsea Football Club, we are proud to partner with Nicholas Daley in celebrating the amazing legacy of Paul Canoville.
