The National Football League’s UK collaboration with Universal Music UK’s brand partnership division, Globe and UK music platform, Mixtape Madness, launches with a new podcast series.
The content endeavours to bridge the gap between music and sport and forms an important pillar of NFL UK’s youth marketing strategy to reach a younger audience through music and culture collaborations.
The partnership sees the new podcast series launching on Mixtape Madness, one of the UKs most respected music platforms for breakthrough talent.
Popular NFL pundits Osi Umenyiora and Jason Bell will feature in the podcast series NFL Overtime X Mixtape Madness, a six-part series featuring UK podcaster Chuckie and special music guests, including Miss LaFamilia, Krept & Konan, M1llionz, Rimzee, Hardy Caprio and Ghetts.
The prominent theme across the series is the journey to success and the trials, tribulations and challenges faced along the way.
‘Osi and Jason will draw experience from their own careers with Chuckie moderating the discussion,’ explains NFL UK Senior Director of Marketing Charlotte Offord.
‘The aim is to inspire the next generation to follow in their footsteps while touching upon key societal issues involving race, gender and socio-economic barriers.’
UMG Snr Brand Partnerships Manager, Gus Jones-Donnelly commented ‘Bringing these 2 worlds together in an authentic way was key to what we were trying to achieve with this collaboration.
Through Jason, Osi, Chuckie and our amazing roster of guests, I feel we’ve been able to bridge the gap between the NFL & UK Youth culture naturally’
The first episode of the podcast published on November 9, with five further episodes following every two weeks on Mixtape Madness Youtube Channel https://youtu.be/QqmgqBzFOIY
