Keith Prowse has announced Access Sport as its national sports charity partner, marking a robust step towards inclusive sporting opportunities across the UK.
This partnership aims to bolster Access Sport’s mission: transforming the lives of disabled and disadvantaged young people through community sports.
Under this new alliance, Keith Prowse will share its resources and provide value-in-kind support to ensure Access Sport’s programmes reach more communities than ever. The move underlines Keith Prowse’s determination to ensure every sports event and experience they deliver leaves a positive and lasting mark.
Access Sport has built a formidable reputation over the past 20 years, providing crucial tools and training to grassroots sports clubs and volunteers.
With only 47% of young people meeting the Chief Medical Officers’ Physical Activity Guidelines, Access Sport’s work is more essential than ever.
The charity’s reach spans everything from cycling and climbing to rugby league, opening doors that might otherwise stay shut.
Beyond simply sharing resources, Keith Prowse is rolling up its sleeves and getting stuck in. Staff will volunteer their time at Access Sport’s events, helping to run programmes that put children’s health and community wellbeing at the heart of everything.
Sam Coates, Marketing Director at Keith Prowse, put it plainly: “This partnership with Access Sport is a true reflection of Keith Prowse core belief: that sport has an unparalleled power to transform lives.
As market leaders in the premium experience market, we and our guests are privileged to witness the pinnacle of athletic achievement, but the starting point for most athletes, regardless of their background or ability, starts at a community level.
Every young person should have the opportunity to experience the profound joy, the benefits and indeed the pathway to excellence that sport offers. We’re proud to support their work and excited to get involved on the ground.”
Helen Rowbotham, Chief Executive at Access Sport, shares that enthusiasm: “We are excited to launch our new partnership with Keith Prowse. Like us, Keith Prowse knows the power of sport to have a positive impact on people’s lives.
By joining forces, I’m confident we can reach more disabled and disadvantaged young people, giving them access to all the amazing benefits of community sport. I’m also really looking forward to seeing Keith Prowse staff getting out there and volunteering at the community clubs we support across the country. We can’t wait to get started! Thank you for choosing Access Sport.”
Together, Keith Prowse and Access Sport are setting out to make sure the life-changing power of sport isn’t a privilege for the few but a possibility for all.
