Brits spend an average of 14 days and £360 each spring on plants and ornaments, with younger age groups investing even more (£451) to achieve the perfect outdoor look.
Photography plays a central role, with gardeners snapping an average of 14 pictures monthly, and over half (56%) sharing their efforts on social media.
Gen Z leads in capturing images, taking 17 snaps monthly, with 39% admitting to constant garden photography.
From homegrown vegetables to selfies among spring blossoms, certain garden scenes attract the most likes.
Remarkably, even compost heaps receive appreciation, with 6% garnering likes. The validation on social media brings a sense of pride to 93% of gardeners, who also report increased happiness and well-being from their gardening endeavours.
Social media proves a significant influence on gardening habits, with 84% attributing their green-fingered pursuits to platforms like Instagram.
Many rely on social media for plant selection (41%) and learning new gardening skills (32%).
