HYROX Launches ‘Race for Impact’ to Turn Every Athlete’s Effort into Global Good

The powerhouse of global fitness racing HYROX is taking your sweat and turning it into something more than personal bests. Teaming up with High Impact Athletes (HIA), a charity run by athletes who know that what you put in physically can do some serious good out there, HYROX is showing that sport and social impact can—and should—go hand in hand.

With their new ‘Race for Impact’ initiative, HYROX participants are about to do more than clock new PBs—they’re putting their sweat towards real change.

By snapping up discounted charity tickets, racers pledge to raise money for top-performing charities, tackling everything from mental health to women’s empowerment, global health, and climate action. It’s a straight-talking, no-fuss way to blend tough workouts with making a real difference.

HIA, until now known for working exclusively with Olympians and World Champions, is now opening its doors to the masses.

“By joining forces with HYROX, we’re scaling the impact of athlete-led giving to unprecedented heights,” said Hugo Inglis, Co-founder and Managing Director of HIA. “No matter your fitness level, every step, rep and finish line can deliver maximum impact where it’s needed most.”

The impact could be huge. With more than 80 global races lined up for 2025 and 550,000 athletes set to compete, the numbers add up fast.

If just 10% of racers opt into ‘Race for Impact’, it could mean life-saving nutrition, clean water, and treatment for 2.5 million people; critical mental health support for 350,000 families; or the equivalent of removing 11 million tonnes of carbon emissions—more than half the annual output of Croatia or Sri Lanka.

HYROX compete for a better world

“Sport has always had the power to unite and inspire,” said Moritz Furste, HYROX Co-founder and CMO. “With ‘Race for Impact,’ we’re giving athletes the chance to do more than race. They can now make a real difference. Every step taken is an opportunity to leave an impact.”

The initiative kicks off globally at HYROX events starting 25th June 2025—though the UK will continue its long-running partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, having already raised over £3.1 million for people living with cancer.

HYROX has never been just about who’s the fittest on race day. It’s about pushing yourself to the edge and finding out what you’re really made of. Now, every competitor—elite or weekend warrior—can help push the world forward too.
