Game Of Thrones Most Desirable Characters: Who Rules the Hearts of Fans?

gameofthronesmap

Alright, so the dragons have flown off, the Iron Throne’s a pile of rubble, and yet, here we are, still chatting about “Game of Thrones.” But let’s be honest—who didn’t have a favourite?

Turns out, the folks over at Jaumo, a dating app, got curious about who among the show’s remaining characters was the most swoon-worthy. They ran a survey, and the results? Well, they’re as surprising as a Red Wedding invite.

First up, Sansa Stark—our favourite redhead who went from a naive girl to a total queen—grabbed 95% of the votes from the guys.

I guess when you survive what she did, you earn some major respect points. Not far behind, Daenerys Targaryen, who, let’s face it, made “mother of dragons” look like a pretty cool job title, won the hearts of 92% of the men.

Even Missandei, her right-hand woman, got 85% of the guys thinking she’d make a great plus-one.

Now, here’s where it gets interesting. Melisandre, the one with a fondness for fire and the occasional dark magic, charmed 88% of the men.

And believe it or not, Cersei Lannister, the queen of scheming, convinced 76% of the guys that she’s worth the risk. I guess some folks like a little danger with their romance.

On the flip side, the ladies had their eyes on Jon Snow. Our brooding, curly-haired hero pulled in 81% of the women’s votes—proving that being honourable (and let’s face it, easy on the eyes) goes a long way.

Jaime Lannister, despite his complicated past, got a thumbs-up from 71% of the women, because hey, who doesn’t love a good redemption arc?

But not everyone was winning hearts. Tyrion Lannister, despite being one of the smartest characters around, only charmed 34% of the ladies.

It seems wit and wisdom are a bit underappreciated in the dating game. Samwell Tarly, the lovable bookworm, and Theon Greyjoy, who had a rough time in general, didn’t do much better. Let’s just say they’re probably better off sticking to their own adventures.

In the end, what this survey shows is that “Game of Thrones” gave us a lot more than just epic battles and shocking deaths.

It gave us characters who, in all their flawed, messy glory, found a way into our hearts—sometimes in the most unexpected ways.
