In a significant boost to the global winter swimming community, Dryrobe—renowned for its innovative outdoor change robes—has unveiled a new two-year partnership with the International Winter Swimming Association (IWSA).

The agreement follows Dryrobe’s successful title sponsorship of the 2024 IWSA Winter Swimming World Championships in Tallinn, Estonia.

Under this extended alliance, Dryrobe® becomes the Official Change Robe of the IWSA and will also serve as a sponsor for the 2025 IWSA Winter Swimming World Cup.

The competition will span Sweden, Poland, Morocco, and other locations still to be announced. Looking ahead, Dryrobe is again stepping up as title sponsor of the 2026 IWSA Winter Swimming World Championships in Oulu, Finland—an event that brings together over 1,500 athletes on a shared quest to brave the cold.

As part of this partnership, participants at all IWSA-organised gatherings will have access to Dryrobe®’s flagship product, the Dryrobe Advance.

Among those relying on its warmth and convenience is ice swimmer and world record holder Bárbara Hernández—also known as “The Ice Mermaid”—who endorses the brand’s dedication to promoting winter sports.

Fans of Dryrobe Winter Swimming can look forward to seeing the brand’s signature robes used by elite competitors across every icy venue.

“We’re very excited to extend our relationship with the IWSA, who like us are passionate about promoting winter swimming and having a positive impact on its global community.

“Our sponsorship of last year’s IWSA Winter Swimming World Championships was a huge success and we’re looking forward to working with the IWSA over the following two years on an expanded brief that will now account for all 2025 and 2026 IWSA organised events, including the 2026 Winter Swimming World Championships.

Mariia Yrjö-Koskinen, President of the IWSA, echoes that enthusiasm, highlighting Dryrobe®’s vital role at their latest event at the Perito Moreno Glacier in El Calafate, Argentina.

“Every swimmer there wore a Dryrobe® Advance, which really helped them face the harsh conditions,” she says.

“Looking ahead to our 20th anniversary, we’re delighted to celebrate it in Oulu—where the IWSA was founded—together with Dryrobe® at the 2026 Winter Swimming World Championships.”
