Cowdray Estate challens-yarde

Cowdray Estate, situated in the idyllic West Sussex countryside within the South Downs, presents an array of enticing stay-and-play golf packages.

This announcement follows a significant enhancement of their championship golf course, which has benefitted from over £ 1 million in upgrades this past year, making Cowdray a sought-after destination for both relaxation and sport.

Cowdray Estate Lodge Living Room

The estate spans 16,000 acres, offering a pastoral escape with accommodations that cater to various preferences.

Guests can choose from cosy dormy-style lodge rooms at the golf club, luxury detached cottages, or charming cottages adjacent to Benbow Pond, ensuring an option for every group size and taste.

For those looking to hit the links, the packages vary in scope and luxury:

  • Golf Lodges: Starting at £215 for two, this package includes a one-night stay, a round of golf, and breakfast, with accommodations in either a twin or double room.
  • Luxury Cottages: These feature amenities such as private hot tubs, wood burners, and gardens, accommodating four to eight guests, with prices starting at £350 per night for a minimum of two nights. A typical two-night, two-round package for four people begins at £265 per person.
  • Benbow Cottages: Smaller yet equally charming, these are priced from £165 per night for a minimum of two nights, sleeping up to four guests. The same two-night, two-round package costs £173 per person.

Enhancing the golf experience, Cowdray has also introduced a redesigned Par 3 Course. The course boasts five new short holes with USGA specification greens and bunkers, each designed to mirror aspects of the main course. This can be enjoyed for an additional £15 per person.

Besides golf, Cowdray offers various activities such as clay-pigeon shooting, fishing, cycling, and polo, promising a well-rounded country experience.

Each cottage booking also includes a welcome hamper filled with goodies from the award-winning Cowdray Farm Shop & Café.

Tim Allen, Director of Golf at Cowdray, emphasizes the prime time to visit: “With the extensive enhancements to our golf facilities, Cowdray is now more inviting than ever. Our new stay-and-play packages offer an exceptional mix of golf and traditional English country charm.”
