Health club provider Anytime Fitness is set for a bumper finish to the year, with plans to open ten new health clubs before the end of 2021.
All new clubs will be independently owned by franchisees, with locations spanning from Inverness to a first-ever club in Guernsey.
Eight further sites across England are set to open before the end of December, taking Anytime Fitness’ club network in excess of 185 clubs across the UK and Ireland.
This flurry of planned openings follows a buoyant recovery from Anytime Fitness UK after the reopening of indoor leisure facilities in April, with close to a third of its clubs now exceeding their revenue numbers pre-March 2020.
It has also experienced record interest in owning a health club, with new franchisee enquiries soaring by over 300% this year.
“It’s exciting to be able to look forward with so much positivity and see more ambitious entrepreneurs owning their own businesses,” said Ben Dixon, Chief Development Officer at Anytime Fitness UK.
“Demand for health club memberships has been consistent throughout the year and we’re delighted to soon be positively impacting the health and wellbeing of even more local communities across the UK.
It’s testament to the hard work and patience of our franchisees and development team in navigating the numerous supply chain challenges and have this strong pipeline of openings in place.”
“Opening a club in Guernsey shows the versatility of our model and it’s great to be able to reach another new market, after opening our first club in Jersey earlier this year.
These new clubs are being opened by a combination of brand-new franchisees and existing club owners in our network adding to their portfolio and scaling their investment with us.
Things are very much on the up again and ahead of what is traditionally our ‘golden quarter’ between January and March, we’re excited to be able to support more people across the UK with improving their health goals.”
Anytime Fitness clubs are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and provide members with safe and welcoming environments to achieve their health goals.
Potential franchisees are supported by funding support from major high street banks including Barclays, Natwest and Lloyd’s Bank.
