Kiran Badloe, Dutch Olympic gold medallist in the RS:X men’s windsurfing at Tokyo 2020, has been named as Musto’s newest Ambassador. Kiran joins Musto’s pantheon of elite athletes and will be instrumental in product development moving forwards.
This news follows the announcement of Musto’s three-year partnership with the Royal Dutch Watersports Association, the national federation, as the Official Clothing Supplier.
Musto will kit out the national sailing team, TeamAllianz, the youth academy, officials and members for the next three years which includes the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
“In the windsurfing world, this widely known sailing apparel brand is relatively new,” said Kiran. “I have been surfing with the Musto wetsuits for a few months now and they fit like a glove.”

Kiran recently participated in the 2022 EC, where he finished 24th out of 153 participants.
TeamAllianz sailors achieved eight podium finishes at the Hempel World Cup Series in Almere and Lelystad last week.
On Saturday, June 4, the 49er FX duo Odile van Aanholt and Musto ambassador Annette Duetz won gold, as did their male teammates Bart Lambriex and Floris van de Werken in the 49er. Laila van der Meer and Bjarne Bouwer took the victory in the Nacra 17 class.
Sunday saw the kitefoilers completing their Medal Series in Lelystad. Anneloes Lammerts qualified for the finals for the first time and took her first overall victory at a World Cup. Then the wind continued to drop and the iQFOIL windsurfer returned to shore without racing.
The top three remained unchanged with Huig Jan Tak on top in the men’s competition, followed by Max Castelein and Joost Vink. Among the women, Lilian de Geus finished in second place on equal points with the winner Maria Belen Bazo (PER).
However, the Peruvian won the tie-break as she finished ahead of De Geus in the last sailed race. Maxime Jonker and Mirthe Akkerman took respectively the fifth and sixth place in the ILCA 6.
