With preparations well underway for the coming season, Hampshire Cricket and Southern Vipers have received a welcome boost with the news the UK’s premier family motor group, Hendy, has extended its partnership and will appear on the teams’ shirts for the 2023 campaign.

Hampshire Cricket and Southern Vipers are both based at The Ageas Bowl and enjoyed fantastic seasons in 2022; the Southern Vipers – one of the leading T20 teams in women’s cricket – won the Charlotte Edwards Cup, while Hampshire Hawks were crowned T20 Vitality Blast champions and narrowly missed out on the LV= Insurance County Championship.

Hendy Group, which has now partnered with Hampshire Cricket for more than a decade, is one of the club’s most-valued commercial partners and in 2018 became the first to appear on the Southern Vipers kit.

That long-running support for cricket in Hampshire was extended this week with confirmation the Hendy brand will feature on the back of all three Hampshire men’s kits and the Southern Vipers’ kit throughout 2023.

Hendy, which has showrooms across the south coast from Devon all the way to Kent, has been providing people with quality vehicles for more than 160 years; with Hampshire Cricket formed back in 1863, the partnership is a superb collaboration between two of Hampshire’s most-loved and trusted brands.

Hendy’s MOKE Southampton dealership in Leigh Road, Eastleigh, is home of the MOKE – the much-loved, fun-filled, open-topped sixties symbol – and as part of the ongoing partnership Hampshire Hawks’ mascot Hawky will be driven around The Ageas Bowl in a MOKE Electric during the pre-match countdown to each 2023 Vitality Blast fixture.

Tom James, Head of Sales & Commercial Partnerships at The Ageas Bowl, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to renew our successful partnership with Hendy. Like us, Hendy are committed to serving the local community and it is great to be able to continue working together.”

Paul Hendy, Chief Executive said: “Our longstanding partnership with Hampshire Cricket and Southern Vipers is a testament to the alignment of our two organisations in terms of our values, and our commitment to working within the local community. We are excited to see what all of the teams can achieve throughout 2023.”
