16-Year-Old Golf Prodigy Anna Huang Signs With DEFY Agency

Anna Huang

At just 16, Anna Huang is already doing laps around the usual timelines. This week, she qualified for the US Women’s Open at Erin Hills—becoming the youngest professional in the field—and now she’s added another big step to her calendar: signing with athlete agency DEFY.

While most teenagers are revising for A-levels or figuring out TikTok dances, Huang is navigating the Ladies European Tour like a seasoned pro.

In December 2024, she earned her full playing rights for the LET, becoming its youngest member and the first Canadian to do so since 2016.

Since then, Anna Huang has quietly stitched together one of the most promising rookie campaigns in recent memory—making five cuts in her first six starts and doing it with the kind of calm usually reserved for players who have been around long enough to remember persimmon woods.

Now, with DEFY in her corner, Huang is looking to sharpen the tools for a long-term run at the top.

The partnership seems less about hype and more about architecture—building something that lasts. Harry Croft, Co-Founder at DEFY, made it clear they’re in this for the long haul. “Anna is a fantastic talent and an extraordinary person.

Her maturity and dedication to the sport means that her ceiling is limitless, and we want to help her develop into the player everyone knows that she can be.

“We’re so pleased to have Anna join the DEFY family, at what is an incredibly exciting and important period of her career.”

As Huang continues to climb, eyes will be watching—not just to see how far she goes, but how well she builds. Follow her progress at wearedefy.co.uk or on Instagram via @annahuangolf and @wearedefy.
