Everest Triathlon: Former Royal Marine Completes World’s Longest Triathlon with Mount Everest Summit

Mitch Hutchcraft

It’s official—the Everest Triathlon now sits atop the list of human achievements as former Royal Marine and Zooki brand ambassador Mitch Hutchcraft completed the world’s longest and most demanding triathlon, finishing his 240-day ordeal by standing on the summit of Mount Everest itself.

You don’t get many finish lines quite like this. Hutchcraft’s Everest Triathlon, a challenge that leaves Ironman in the dust, started with a 35km swim across the English Channel, moved on to a 12,000km bike ride across continents, then over 900km of ultra-distance running, and concluded with a 360km trek to Everest Base Camp—capped off with the small matter of climbing to 8,849 metres above sea level. No shortcuts. No easy days. Just grit, discipline, and a willingness to test human limits.

The Everest Triathlon, backed by premium British wellness brand Zooki, wasn’t just about breaking records. It was a year-long crusade to push physical and mental boundaries—and judging by the footage from the summit, it’s fair to say the mission was accomplished. A visibly emotional Hutchcraft, filming from the top of the world, said:

“I can’t believe we are on top of the world. I just feel like I’m in a dream right now. I love you and thank you for all the support.”

That gratitude extends well beyond the personal. Throughout the Everest Triathlon, Hutchcraft relied on Zooki’s supplements and the guidance of celebrity nutritionist Sarah Carolides to keep his body functioning in the harshest of environments.

“Having Zooki gave me peace of mind in one of the world’s harshest environments and I knew I wouldn’t have to worry about nutrition and hydration anymore,” he said, after surviving conditions that would send most of us running for the nearest armchair.

Dubbed Project Limitless, Hutchcraft’s Everest Triathlon has also captured the attention of national media—including the BBC, ITV, and The Guardian—and raised more than £14,000 for SAVISM, a charity dedicated to wildlife conservation and mental health support for veterans. It’s a cause that hits home for Hutchcraft and underscores the wider purpose of his feat.

Zooki co-founder Jack Morrison summed up the mood, saying: “Mitch has done something the world has never seen.

To not only complete the longest triathlon ever attempted but to finish it by summiting Everest is beyond inspirational. Our products were developed for exactly these moments—where performance meets purpose.”

This Everest Triathlon hasn’t just rewritten the playbook—it’s torn it up, thrown it off the summit, and left the rest of us in awe.
