Samsung has finally taken the wraps off its much-hyped Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25—once again showing us just how far a smartphone can go.
These latest models introduce a whole new age of AI smarts—complete with “multimodal AI agents”—that could seriously transform the way we interact with our phones, and maybe even reshape our relationship with the digital world itself.
A Glimpse into the Future of Mobile AI
Switch on the Galaxy S25 range, and it’s like having a personal AI sidekick right in your pocket—one that picks up on your habits, anticipates what you need, and offers help so naturally you’ll forget you’re talking to a phone.
It’s all made possible by the custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy, which packs the sheer processing power to tackle seriously advanced on-device AI tasks without breaking a sweat.
This bespoke chipset also supercharges camera capabilities through the new ProVisual Engine, making everything from ultra-wide shots to close-ups sharper and more dynamic.
“Last year saw us introduce our first AI smartphone to the market,” says Annika Bizon, Director of Mobile Experience at Samsung UK & Ireland.
“We now have almost 5 million active Galaxy AI users in the UK, and that number is set to grow as these technologies become ever more personal, intuitive, and useful.
Our Galaxy S25 series evolves that concept into a truly adaptive device that keeps pace with everyday life—organising tasks, scheduling family get-togethers, and serving up wellbeing tips, all in one place.”
One UI 7: Mobile Experience, Reimagined
Building on Samsung’s partnership with Google and global developers, One UI 7 gives the Galaxy S25 series a powerful set of AI features while maintaining airtight privacy.
The phone can interpret text, speech, images, and videos with startling accuracy—making everything from searching your screen to firing off quick commands entirely straightforward.
Take Google’s Circle to Search tool, for instance. It’s been upgraded to spot phone numbers, email addresses, and website links on your screen the second they appear, letting you call, text, or browse in just one tap.
Looking for that picture of your dog running wild at the park? Just ask in plain English, and the upgraded AI will do the heavy lifting—no hassle, no endless swiping through your gallery.
The Galaxy S25 makes multitasking effortless, offering smart suggestions for your next move based on what you’re doing—seamlessly guiding you from one app to the next.
You can share a GIF, save event details, or fetch a map route for a friend, all without searching through countless menus.
Voice commands have been turbocharged, too: “Find my favourite team’s schedule and add it to my Samsung calendar” can now happen in a single step.
Personalisation with Full Privacy
AI-driven personalisation is always a balancing act between convenience and data protection. With Galaxy S25, private information is processed directly on the device via the Personal Data Engine.
That means no one else sees your preferences, your photos, or your daily routine. Yet the phone still tailors itself to your habits—like proactively showing you relevant photos or delivering travel alerts at just the right moment through the Now Brief feature.
Backed by Knox Vault, all personal data remains locked down with advanced cryptography, including new safeguards for the quantum computing age.
Samsung has also added extra security layers such as Maximum Restrictions settings, improved Theft Protection, and a more comprehensive Knox Matrix dashboard to keep tabs on your entire network of devices.
Performance that Raises the Bar
The Galaxy S25 series is powered by the customised Snapdragon® 8 Elite for Galaxy—the fastest chipset to ever grace a Galaxy S device.
Expect a 40% jump in neural processing unit (NPU) performance, a 37% increase in CPU power, and a 30% GPU boost compared to previous generations.
Thanks to these enhancements, on-device AI tasks that traditionally needed cloud processing—such as Generative Edit—run smoothly without draining your battery in record time.
Samsung teamed up with Qualcomm Technologies to give the chipset advanced image processing capabilities via ProScaler.
The result is up to a 40% improvement in display image scaling while also incorporating Samsung’s mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe).
For gamers, the chipset’s Vulkan Engine and improved Ray Tracing make for more immersive, realistic, and fluid graphics.
To tackle the extra heat generated by high-end performance, Samsung has redesigned the vapour chamber with a 40% larger capacity and introduced a custom thermal interface material. This helps keep the device cool, even under heavy usage.
Truly Pro-Grade Imaging and Editing
Want to capture super-detailed shots that pop with colour? The Galaxy S25 series has you covered. The Ultra model boasts a new 50MP ultra-wide camera (upgraded from the previous 12MP) for stunning clarity, whether you’re photographing a cityscape or filming at a friend’s birthday party.
If you pre-order via Samsung’s official channels, you can even double your phone’s storage at no extra cost, giving you more space to preserve every moment.
For video, Galaxy S25 now activates 10-bit HDR by default, resulting in four times more vibrant colour compared to older 8-bit recording.
Low-light videos also get an upgrade, thanks to advanced noise reduction that tracks motion in real time for sharper, more luminous footage.
Editing gains a boost, too, with pro-level tools built right in. Audio Eraser isolates sounds—voices, wind, traffic—so you can decide what to keep and what to cut.
The Virtual Aperture feature in Expert RAW grants DSLR-like control over depth of field, and Galaxy Log offers granular colour grading options for cinematic flair.
There’s also a revamped Portrait Studio, plus brand-new analogue-style filters for that old-school film look.
Durable Design with an Eco-Conscious Angle
The Galaxy S25 Ultra stands out as the thinnest, lightest, and most robust S Series device yet, housed in durable titanium and fortified with Corning Gorilla Armor 2.
It’s resistant to drops, scratches, and glare, all without compromising that comfortable grip and sleek design.
Both the Galaxy S25+ and S25 incorporate at least one recycled material in every external component, and their frames now feature 20% recycled armour aluminium.
Beyond that, each model uses a minimum of 50% recycled cobalt in its battery, while the standard Galaxy S25 becomes the first Samsung phone to use recycled cobalt from previously used Galaxy devices or from the scrap left over in battery manufacturing.
Samsung promises seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security patches, ensuring that your Galaxy S25 remains snappy, protected, and reliable for longer.
For extra reassurance, Samsung Care+ extends coverage for accidental damage, repairs, and replacements.
