Ramblers Charity Launches Search For Britain’s Favourite Path

The Ramblers are on a mission to uncover Britain’s Favourite Path, and they need your help!

If you’ve got a beloved trail in England, Scotland, or Wales, now’s your chance to share it with the world. By submitting a photo of your chosen path, you could see it crowned as Britain’s favourite.

In partnership with Cotswold Outdoor, The Ramblers will run this national competition through August and into September, aligning perfectly with prime walking season.

Whether it’s a rugged Peak District route, a coastal trail, or a quaint path you use on your daily commute, The Ramblers want to celebrate it.

Britain’s paths are more than just routes—they’re gateways to nature and adventure. When you submit your photo, you’ll also be invited to share why your path is special.

Maybe it’s a trail you walked with your grandparents, the path to where you met your partner or a favourite spot for walks with your dog.

A panel of expert judges, including adventurer Alastair Humphreys and Jack Cornish, Head of Paths at The Ramblers, will select eight finalists.

The public will then vote for the overall winner, whose photo will be displayed on a major billboard.

Jack Cornish shared, “Here at The Ramblers, we are passionate about shining a light on the incredible network of paths, tracks, and trails across Great Britain.

This fun and free competition can be entered from your doorstep or while on holiday in Scotland, England, or Wales.

It’s a great opportunity to get out and really celebrate the paths we rely on while enjoying the great outdoors this summer.”

The Ramblers work tirelessly across Britain to ensure paths are cherished and accessible. Thousands of volunteers collaborate with local authorities to keep these paths open for everyone.

Without their efforts, paths can become blocked or lost. Visit www.ramblers.org.uk to download their guide on paths, tracks, and trails and learn more about their work and how you can get involved.

Every entrant in the Britain’s Favourite Path competition will receive a discount code for Cotswold Outdoor stores or online.

The winner will receive £200 in Cotswold Outdoor vouchers, and each finalist will get a £50 voucher. The competition closes on September 8th.
