Three of the UK’s leading video gamers are set to entertain families this summer as they swap their video game controllers for the commentary box microphone at The Hundred presented by Compare the Market.
Amassing over 7 million fans, Captain Puffy, Dang That’s A Long Name and Solidarity Gaming will take over the mic for the first-ever live sports commentary of The Hundred created solely for young people – bringing a new and alternative twist to the high-energy cricketing tournament.
With one week to go until the unmissable cricket competition that fuses world-class cricket with blockbuster entertainment kicks off, which runs from 1st – 27th August, Captain Puffy, whose real name is Cara (24), Scottish YouTuber Scott Major (27), who streams as Smajor and Jimmy (27), whose online nickname is Solidarity Gaming will unlock a new level of alternative – and hilarious – punditry alongside Compare the Market’s Meerkat Characters and newest member, Carl the wombat.
Each social gamer will take to the commentary microphone on their own bespoke day throughout the competition, offering their match day review that will leave you in stitches on the following days and times:

Stepping from the virtual gaming world to the real cricket pitch, there’s even a chance to meet the video-gaming heroes. On Tuesday 15th August, all three gamers will be at The Kia Oval, London, where they will be soaking up The Hundred’s entertaining atmosphere, giving gaming enthusiasts in attendance the opportunity to meet their on-screen idols in real life.

The Hundred is an action-packed, unmissable cricket competition that fuses world-class cricket with blockbuster entertainment.

The Hundred, presented by Compare the Market, features eight teams from seven cities, with men’s and women’s competitions taking place side by side: Welsh Fire (Cardiff), Southern Brave (Southampton), Northern Superchargers (Leeds), London Spirit, Trent Rockets (Nottingham), Oval Invincibles (London), Manchester Originals and Birmingham Phoenix. Each team features some of the best international and domestic cricketers from around the world, including players from the men’s and women’s Ashes squads.
In 2022, The Hundred attracted a total of 14.1m viewers across Sky and BBC. In addition to this, more than half a million fans attended matches, including a rise in family spectators compared to 2021.
